update: 1.24.25 - extremely mid. i walked out of there hungry and extremely disappointed today. we got exactly what we did last time (white pizza and carolina fries) plus a sandwich that i personally didn't like but i dont think that's necessarily their fault. everything was either slightly overcooked or slightly undercooked. this has honestly ruined it for us. we were expecting crunchy, soft crust and gooey cheesy fries, but today we got chewy crust and room temperature cheese fries that were way too salty. i know this is coming across as nit-picky, but usually this place exceeds expectations and blows it out of the water. my boyfriend said he doesnt trust to eat here anymore :(

old: 1.1.2025 - very yummy!! every time we eat here its always good. servers are understanding and friendly as well (shout out Jennifer, she's been great every time she's served me and my boyfriend)

Garlic knots were dry. We ordered ranch to make them edible. We ordered the white pizza and it was terrible!! Undercooked, and topping proportions were way off. Ricotta cheese was pouring off the pizza, masking any other flavors and making for a nauseating texture. We brought it to the waitress’ attention and got 15% off a pizza that we ate two slices of. So, we spent almost $20 for two slices of pizza, leaving the rest on the table. We won’t be back. Save yourself the disappointment and money. Go to Apollo flame or Black bear pizza.

We tried the Pantheon Pizza (It is basically a greek gyro on a pizza) and was pleased and a bit surprised it worked well together. Next time I order it, I'll try it with a pesto sauce instead of a marinara sauce.

A week ago, I dined in and a male server waited on me. I ordered the Eggplant Parm and the eggplant was soggy, undercooked, and bitter. I told my server the eggplant was underdone and even showed it to him; I asked for the eggplant to be cooked more. He told me since I already took a bite out of it, he wouldn't accommodate me. I asked him for a manager. He, not the manager, returned and said he could have my eggplant cooked to my liking but would charge me for another dinner. I told him I didn't want the eggplant but would order something else instead. Then he decided to get the manager. I showed the manager the eggplant and insisted on it being cooked or cancel it. He argued he couldn't reheat it due to health concerns. I asked if he'd discard it and cook me another eggplant dinner but without charging me for an extra meal. I told him I was a repeat customer and was taken aback by the poor service. I said I would not pay for an undercooked meal. He changed his tune and cooked me another dinner.
Recently, I returned and waited to be seated. Ten min later, the same manager approached me and told me the owners would no longer serve me. I asked why and he said the servers were uncomfortable with me being there, but didn't specify why. I disagreed, telling him my past experiences with the servers were cordial. I asked if the denial of service was due to the raw eggplant issue, but he kept saying the servers were uncomfortable. Fed up, I told him I had enough of the BS and decided to take my business elsewhere. It's obvious they blame guests for their faults, would rather serve food unsafe to eat, and put profits over hospitality

It’s wonderful to place and order for delivery, have it delayed multiple times. Call the restaurant and have a very rude woman tell me that it’s not their responsibility if the delivery service has no drivers. You contract all the delivery services to do deliveries, you are in business with them! You don’t get to take no responsibility and then be very rude about it and hang up on me. Great customer service!
When we placed order all was fine. Nice the restaurant takes ZERO responsibility for their lack of service. This used to be a great place. Wish we could leave zero stars.

One olive on $10 salad n no crackers or parmesan for it. Garlic knots were rolls with very little garlic swimming in a plate of oil. Asked for a oregano shaker for the pizza n she laughed!! Won't be back...hahaha!

In town visiting family for the holiday. Grew up going to this restaurant and even worked here back in high school dozens of years ago.

Food was good. Personally the sauce & bread were too sweet and not like I remembered but I know ownership and location has changed.

So for a fair review I’ll say the service was fabulous, quick and accurate. Not really an authentic Italian experience but a good portion of food for the price. I took photos of all of our meals for your viewing.

I had the tortellini.
Other dishes: baked ziti, pizzas, lasagna, sub, shrimp scampi.

Had a Philly, it tastes good over all, but the construction really was poor. They put the cheese and mayo all the way at the bottom of the sandwich with loose meet taking up the rest of the space. Personally I think the cheese should go on top to hold the sandwich together more and the mayo should be spread on the bread or kinda mixed into the beef for structural retention. If these problems are fixed it's a 5 star sandwich.

Very mediocre very mid pizza , it's unfortunate as it's close to work and is an easy grab but probably won't go back , cheesy bread is literally frozen cafeteria garlic bread with waaaaaay to much cheese on it and pizza is undercooked and painfully mid .

Moved to the Asheville from up north a few years ago. I’ve tried several pizza places and Acropolis is one of the best. More importantly, what distinguishes Acropolis from all the others is the A+++ service I get from Jennifer. She is outstanding and keeps me coming back! If the place is packed I’ll wait an extra hour or more if need be,to make sure I get to sit in her section! Go enjoy their food and drink and make sure to ask for Jennifer!!!
