It's my favorite place to visit with my sister.

I only had a quick takeout lunch, but I was definitely pleased by the Pineapple Thai Curry and its obviously high quality ingredients, skillful preparation, and the restaurant's demonstrated ability to adjust spice level to my request. I can already tell they listen to their customers, and they care about the customer experience and of building relationships. This is what hospitality in the mountains can be like when the mind is set to create a positive experience, and the work is put in to bring it to fruition. It's not handed out on a platter willy nilly. It takes talented professionals working diligently in order to pull it off. A few restaurants just get it and blaze their own trail ahead, and Chen Garden is one of those that deserves recognition for what they are building.
Edit: The Pad Thai is also unsurprisingly excellent as is their most delicious Thai Iced Tea!

We tried this place for the first time today. All four of us enjoyed our meals. My husband and I had General Tso’s chicken which we both agreed was amazing. My dad had the roasted duck which was savory and flavorful. We also had the calamari and Pork gyosa and both were amazing and addictive. We feel the prices are fair for what you are getting and the staff are very friendly! We will definitely be back soon.

Been here for 24 years best Chinese we've ever had comparable to New York. Only place I found locally with duck.

I had a delicious shrimp pad see u lunch and it was served steaming hot, the noodles cooked perfect with a lite sauce with scallion, egg and broccoli. So good! It came with a fresh crunch salad with the best classic ginger dressing I’ve ever had. Pretty garden to look out on , peaceful clean atmosphere and lovely service. Highly recommend Chen Garden.

Such an underrated gem for Asian food in Asheville! The dishes are fresh, flavorful, and the aroma alone makes you excited to dig in. The atmosphere is warm and inviting—perfect for client meetings or a cozy date night. Plus, the location is super convenient with plenty of parking available. Definitely adding this to my list of top spots in Asheville!
