This was some of the worst service I've ever gotten. Our server, Chelsea W, took our drink order a few minutes after we sat down but didn't come back for 25 mins with them and to take our order. Then it took another 20 minutes to get our food. I'd asked for cornbread but she brought only biscuits so I asked for cornbread and pepper vinegar for a second time which she never brought back. We watched her check on the 3 tables around us 2 and 3 times but never came back to check on us. It's like we had the plague or something. I wasn't able to eat all of my meal because I never got the condiments I'd asked for twice. The food was good as usual for Cracker Barrel but will not be returning because of the service. I did speak with the manager before we left about it and he was very apologetic and said he would address the situation.

We were so fortunate to stop at the Cracker Barrel in Arden, North Carolina, on December 6, 2024. They had a warming fire going in the fireplace, very cozy contrasting nicely with the biting cold outside. My fiancée ordered the Chicken with Dumplings, Steamed Broccoli and Hashbrown Casserole. Since it was Fish Fry Friday, that's what I ordered along with Sweet Whole Baby Carrots and Hashbrown Casserole. Everything was done to perfection.

Our server was gracious, kind, thoughtful with a nice sense of humor. We hope to get back up to the Arden Cracker Barrel very soon.

Parking: This Cracker Barrel is nicely situated off of the main road in its own quaint location. All Cracker Barrel restaurants have an aura all of their own which sets them apart from other eateries.

The food is nothing like it used to be. The trout tasted earthy, the grilled chicken was tough and tasteless, the green beans tasted like meat and were so greasy they glistened. The grease ran into my lumpy, bland mashed potatoes and made them taste even worse. My son got mashed potatoes and gravy with shrimp and they poured gravy over his shrimp and hush puppies, too. The biscuits were underbaked. And it cost our family $67. I used to love this restaurant and I still enjoy the atmosphere, but as far as eating there again; probably not any time soon.

Always good. Except: they unfortunately they were on a limited menu for the day before Thanksgiving. They did not have the advertised cinnamon French toast or the apple pie French toast.

Must of had a new server. She forgot parts of our order. We never received our drinks until after our meals arrived and then only because we asked for them again. She was having problems with other tables as well, as saw the manager helping her at the table behind us. She was always pleasant, just questioning if she was properly prepared for her position.

Trout was dry and lukewarm. May have been cooked well before pickup and reheated.
The only good item was the chef salad.
The quality at Cracker Barrel is not what it used to be, I will not return.
