Our group was stranded in Asheville and stumbled on this bar while waiting for our flight. Everyone at Mudpuppies welcomed us for the afternoon and made sure we had a fun, safe, and clean atmosphere. I would recommend this to anyone with time before their flight or waiting for a layover, as well as anyone in the Asheville area wanting a place to watch sports.

Happened upon this place by accident and was intrigued by the name. Very clean and airy for a sports bar, plenty of TVs, and a fun menu. I had the lemon elderflower spritz—just the right of tartness! To eat, the open faced sushi burger with tots! My friend had the Philly cheesesteak and said it was tasty. The portions were large and the prices were very fair.

Amazing place to eat! They offer both outstanding sushi and some sports grill type food options. Crab Ragoon dip is one of my daughter’s favorites while the other enjoys their loaded tots. Manager very personable and checked on our food to ensure everything was top notch. Second time dining here and we will be back. Also love all the screens for multiple entertainment options.
We had lunch on a slow day but I definitely want to go back when it's in full swing. Their famous sushi rool was delicious and the burgers we great. Best Kani salad around.

I love this place. I’ve been coming with my family every Saturday for about two months and I’m so glad we discovered it. The bar style food is great - mozzarella sticks are amazing. What is really surprising is the sushi. Being from WA state, we love good sushi. We’ve found some decent spots here, but Mudpuppies is some of the best. They aren’t your typical sushi spot but don’t judge a book by its cover. The new husband and wife sushi chef team is amazing - just as good as some of the top Japanese restaurants in the area.The staff are so great. I have three kids and they are always so accommodating and understanding. Holly is amazing - my kids request coming here so they can see her cause she’s just such a kid person. She really goes above to make my kids feel welcome.As a Seahawks fan I’m stoked to find a place with enough tvs to watch the game with great food and drinks and welcoming staff. Def the best in the area for all of those things! I’ll keep coming here weekly and recommend you do the same. Don’t sleep on mudpuppies!!
