Our experience was unfortunately marred by the Hibachi chicken dish. The chicken was dry, the rice tasted old, and the overall plate was flavorless. When we brought this to Arif’s attention (our server) he simply gave a surprised look without offering any alternative, which was really disappointing.

That said, the rest of the meal was quite enjoyable. The elegant atmosphere and outstanding environment make Murazaki a great place to dine. The drinks were tasty—my favorite was the Berrynice. We ordered a crab salad appetizer that was fresh and delicious, and the sushi was well-presented with good flavors.

Murazaki has many strengths, but I hope they improve their service response and food consistency to match the otherwise great experience.

The BEST sushi in Asheville!!! It may be pricey, but it’s 1000000% worth it!!

The sushi wasn’t bad but the portions were awful. Most of the time when I order a roll I expect a full 8 pieces of sushi but here it was 5 at most. Our server was rushing us around and the pricing was just absurd. We got the teriyaki chicken to go and it was the worst tasting chicken I’ve ever had. It was sponge like and very obviously hammered flat. The sauce was also weak in flavor. $60 meal for 2 and we walked out hungry.

Aside from the rolls being relatively small and tasteless, and the texture of the rice being too firm (it felt like eating yesterdays rice), I was particularly annoyed after having asked specifically when ordering take out for an adequate amount of soy, wasabi and ginger—when I got home there was about half of what we needed with each. I couldn’t have been clearer. Not sure why I’m giving 2 stars other than that the fish was ok, not what I’d call good but not bad either. I won’t go back.

The Perfect Snow Roll is one of the best sushi rolls I’ve had. Really tasty sushi, comfortable seating and pleasant atmosphere.

The food is the reason we come here. Service and ambiance is okay but nothing fancy. Everything we order is delicious and will continue to be regulars here.

I have always had a good experience here. Great sushi. Great Ramen. Apps are on point. Service is always profreshional. New item to me this visit was the tuna mentai, and if you're a fan of nigiri, I highly suggest it.

Best sushi place I've been to that wasn't in a major city. Kamikaze roll, OMG roll, and Double Decker roll are my faves. There's something for everyone though. Everyone in my family enjoys this ages 7 to 38
