Delicious Sushi. We had Haven Roll, Tempura Shrimp, Narturo and Blue Ridge Roll. Everything was fresh and well executed.

Among the very best Japanese food in Asheville. Tonight was great rolls, excellent ramen, and quality sake. Will be back again!

I usually never leave negative reviews, I have worked in the service industry for multiple years so I am very empathetic in most situations. This is the third time I have ordered take out from here and been given a wait time of over an hour online (totally fine, I understand it gets busy) but when I show up to the restaurant, usually a couple minutes later then the time I was given, I am told it will be another 20-30 minutes. I just don’t understand why they can’t give accurate wait times when you place the order. If this was a one time thing I would not be complaining but it has happened multiple times now. It is very disappointing because the food is always great but this might be my last time ordering food from Murasaki.

The food is 4-5 stars; however, in the last year (we’ve been going here for 3), the service has been extremely slow whether in-house or ordering online. If they had competition, this place would close down based on experience.

This was a really disappointing dining experience.

Three big things.

1. It took 15 minutes for someone to come to the table to take our order at the beginning. With no offered drink refills the whole night.
2. My sister and I had our food hit the table, had time to finish eating our meals and had 15 minutes of after dinner conversation prior to me having to go to the manager to ask why my boyfriends food never came out.
3. The manager came over and showed us the ticket that was put in that said it had been put in 15 minutes prior which proved the waiter waited well past original ordering time to put in the order.

Catastrophe. Poorly handled issues. Will not be returning. Greenville, SC location much better.

For a great Japanese food experience, this is definitely of the best places in the Asheville area to eat. The food is amazing! Personally, I recommend the spicy miso ramen. It's absolutely to die for and not that spicy at all. The atmosphere is beautiful and perfect for a date or even for a group of friends. The staff and managers are great and very helpful. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone who likes Asian food.

I ordered the fried oyster appetizer which says it contains ten fried oysters. When I opened the takeout container I found they had taken three fried oysters and cut them in half. So I had six pieces of oysters, not ten whole oysters. They were very tasty, but I should have gotten at least ten pieces!

Great place. I've been several times, with a wide range of company. The food is always good but not mind blowing, keeping in mind that I live in Asheville, where we have some world class restaurants, and I am a chef myself so I may be a slightly tougher critic than some. On my most recent trip I met up with a friend for lunch on a Friday. They were not terribly busy, maybe 30 diners in total. The service was very good, he was very attentive and anticipated our needs. I find that in restaurants with extensive menus, the food is not top notch because it is difficult to fine tune so many dishes, and that is very much the case here. I've never had a spectacular meal here, but I've never had a bad one. The south side of Asheville is sorely lacking in great places to dine, it is comprised of primarily chain restaurants, so it's nice to have a decent place to grab a bite. I enjoy sushi very much, so I always keep Murasaki in mind when I get the itch. I recommend giving them a shot, and I have never heard anyone say they had a terrible experience so I think k mine is the concensus opinion.

Parking: Typically there is ample parking as the restaurant is in a shopping center

Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair access seems on par with most places.
