Food is usually good but on Friday, January 3, 2025 was the exception. Broccoli Cheddar soup tasted like freezer burn. Chicken salad sandwich bland with no taste.

America's Roadhouse is a popular place to eat with polite and friendly staff, providing excellent service. The restaurant offers a variety of dishes, including awesome steaks, seafood, spaghetti, tour of Italy, baked potato, flounder plate, and cheese fries. The atmosphere is pleasant with music playing in the background, and the dining area and restrooms are kept clean. The menu features a wide selection of food such as fish, burgers, steak, chicken, and pasta, making it suitable for different tastes. The place has a friendly "down home" vibe and is considered a top spot to dine at in Asheboro. Customers often enjoy the excellent food, especially the broiled seafood platter, which offers the most seafood variety in the area. Many dishes are served in generous portions, like the smothered chicken with hushpuppies and salads, often leading to the need for a to-go box. The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere, with staff that are friendly and attentive—waiters keep drinks filled and make sure guests have a good experience. The manager is kind and plays into the fun atmosphere created by the staff. Overall, the experience is satisfying, making it a great place for families and seafood lovers, especially if visiting the North Carolina State Zoo or passing through Asheboro. While most visits are enjoyable, there can be occasional disappointments, such as freezer-burnt broccoli cheddar soup or bland chicken salad sandwich, especially on certain days.
