We just picked up a freshly made pizza. It was well done with the perfect amount of cheese. Delicious! If you are in the area, stop by to try this pizzeria. My kids loved it. I wish I had taken a picture but you know how quickly good pizza gets eaten.

Outstanding! The crust on the pizza was sublime. However, I really want to talk about the salads. Dressings are homemade, actually homemade. We had the spinach salad and the Caesar and I can say that I am hooked! So good, both of them. You have a fan, 828 Family Pizzeria!

Called multiple times and was hung up on immediately after placing my order. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable.

I’m from New York, and 828’s margherita can absolutely hang. Very pleased. I’ll be back!

Best Pizza in Asheville hands down, great friendly staff. They have a very nice beer and wine selection.

We came to this place for a meeting. we heard about this place from many people. Well, it was a winning. The staff members were very polite and we felt very good. The food was just great. We loved this spot a lot and we will definitely return to this restaurant. Highly recommended.

Best pizza in Asheville hands down. I'm from jersey area and it mimics theirs up there and they are known for good pizza up there ! Reminds me of home

We have liked this in the past, but today we ordered a large pepperoni that was VERY undercooked. The crust was soft and doughy and you could taste the yeast. Would not recommend and will not return. A waste of $28.

The pizza was just okay. There’s very little sauce on the pizza which I was disappointed with. I was expecting the typical crust, sauce, cheese, but instead it was just crust and cheese with little dollops of sauce. Nothing special and I don’t plan on going back.

I have to admit a few years ago when they were Marcos I came and had a horrible experience. A year or so later I got pizza to go, it was also very bad. Dough was barely cooked, sauce was like plain tomatos out of a can, we vowed we were done and would never go back. Fast forward a few years and a client asked me to meet them there for lunch. Amazingly the food was fantastic. A few weeks like I returned with my wife to give it another go, we split pizza, salad, and pasta, all were very good. We have been going often now that things have been so much better, they even seem to be the only place in the area that makes wedding soup which I really missed from my days living up north where this is a staple. In closing, if you tried this place previously and were unhappy give it another go. It's one of the few authentic American-Italian places I think we have. Give them a shot!

There are a few really good pizza places around Asheville but despite the positive reviews, this is not one of them. We ordered a large pizza and the crust was extremely soggy in the center, you could actually see watery liquid pooled on the pizza pan. We ordered it with very, very light cheese and when the waiter brought it, there was a ton of cheese, he just said it looked like their normal amount and asked if we wanted a different one. At that point it was only about 45 minutes to closing and we didn't want to wait longer nor did we want to hold anyone else up. We shouldn't have even been put in that position. A good waiter will make sure the cook is doing what the ticket says, and the cook has the responsibility to take pride in what comes out of his kitchen. Instead the waiter was oblivious to the pizza he brought to our table. The place was virtually dead so it's not that they were too busy. Of course, we ate very little of the pizza, (it's quite annoying to cut away mush and lose all your toppings in the cheese you are trying to peel off), and we left the rest. When we got to the register to pay, the owner/manager, (not sure which), just said "sorry about that" (he already knew!) and he wanted to know if the waiter had offered a new one., then he just went on ahead and charged us the total amount of the bill, no discount, no removal of the pizza, he just said "well I wish you'd come back". We have cause to be in this area, near this restaurant every Tuesday evening and had the pizza been great or if he'd at least have made a real attempt to make us happy, we would have gone back....many times. So, this man chose to take our $42.00 one time only instead of doing the right thing and trying to make us a customer forever. Pretty sad.
