“This is likely our favorite brewery in Asheville! We have a wonderful experience every time we visit which is unfortunately every few years, but always worth the wait. We stopped in last Monday afternoon and were welcomed immediately, the bartender from Denver who I unfortunately didn’t get his name was one of the nicest people we’ve met in a long time. We stayed longer than anticipated because we were having such an enjoyable time with great beers! Their tap list ranges from basic lagers to breakfast porters and many things in between. They have some beer options to go in this location, for merchandise we went next door to the main Green Man brewery. You can’t beat the vibe here at Dirty Jacks though, can’t wait until we can visit again!”

The space is small, and the noise level can get pretty high, but it didn't deter us from really enjoying our meal. My wife has a gluten allergy and they were great about making sure she didn't get any contamination. We'll definitely be back.”

“We dined at Huli Sue's last weekend, and everything was FANTASTIC! We had the sampler platter and added the mac and cheese. The food was absolutely amazing! The barbeque was so good, and the mac and cheese was super flavorful and cheesy. I had a Mai Tai, and it was honestly the best one I've ever had. Our server was super friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. The other servers were as well. I highly recommend this restaurant, and I cannot wait to return!!!”

“extraordinary! we are so fortunate to live down the road from plant. we sat at the bar got a chance to speak to the owner and one of the chefs. the food is out of this world. if I wasn't watching them make it I wouldn't believe that it is vegan. we do our best to keep our vegetarian diets. this place is from another planet. there's nothing on this menu that doesn't blow your mind. the food is delicious and clean and fantastic for you. well worth it”

“We have visited once for dinner and once for breakfast and I have a tough time putting down my utensils. Dinner with 4 had tartar and mussels and calamari apps and all were perfect. I had the Gemelli pasta dish (gluten sensitive) and enjoyed the flavors. For breakfast I had the Benedict Hash. My mouth wants to marry that sauce. The steak and eggs were perfectly cooked, the sauce is bold with lemon and paprika and oh so delicious.”

Daphne, our server was attentive and service was fast. Mind you, this was post-Helene, and they were slammed, so I would have forgiven slow service but that wasn't the case at all.

“Had (another) great time (about our 15th time at the Estate). We stayed two nights and had a suite in the beautiful Inn at Biltmore Estate. The first night we just hung around the Inn and had a great dinner at the Biltmore Estate Dining Room. Elijah was our waiter and he was awesome, very helpful and attentive. My wife needs Gluten Free and they had all kinds of options and were very helpful. Breakfast the next morning (and Wednesday) was the same way, many options for her. Andrea was our server at breakfast both days and was fabulous. I did the buffet and the omelet that was made for me was awesome!

“We stopped into Waffle House on our way out of town. Everyone was waiting patiently to be seated or order take out. During a time where we had no water, electricity or communication seeing their smiles and quick service allowed for us to have a nice meal. Nina was kind, positive and made sure we had everything we could possible need. Her nephew was hard at work making the hash browns. It made our day and we will always remember this.”

“Saw a comedy show at DSSOLVR - it's a great space that's very open and welcoming. They have a large selection of brews, plus a few N/A choices. I really enjoyed the THC beverage and one of their N/A beers.

There's plenty of street parking (with meters) as well as an hourly parking near by.”

“The best pizza we have ever had. We have been enjoying it for some time and had it when our parents came for a special occasion. My dad said "I have been on the planet 74 years and this is the best pizza I have ever had" (meat lovers, of course). I am glad I live close enough to enjoy it often!”

“By far the best Starbucks I’ve ever been to. They are always super friendly, efficient, and always making sure to get your order right. Kim is the best and always makes an effort to greet me and remember my order every time. There is also a regular staff member there who I don’t know her name but she is also amazing. I always order my cold brew with light ice and when she noticed the barista put too much ice in it, she corrected it and made it a learning lesson for her fellow staff member and told her “I’m just trying to help you be the best barista you can be.” I can’t say enough good things about this location. I wish they were all as amazing as this staff!”

“just visiting AVL but I had to leave a review! everyone working here was so kind and happy to be there. they appeared to be out of blueberry crumble cake but were somehow able to find one more piece for me. our lattes were delicious and my boyfriend enjoyed the absolute heck out of his bacon egg and cheese biscuit even complimenting how the bacon was cooked. the biscuit was warm and our lattes were hot! we will definitely be back next time we’re in town”

“We stopped in for a quick lunch on a road trip from Chattanooga to Charlotte. One of the people in our party was vegan, so he suggested coming here. We have had mixed experiences with vegan restaurants in the past, but this was amazing. I had the gyro, which was as good of a gyro as I have had anywhere, vegan or otherwise, and the fries were amazing. The service was fast, friendly, and helpful; and the restaurant was clean and well organized. This is definitely on the top of our list for places to eat in Asheville.”

I will absolutely come back and I recommend Asheville Sushi and Hibachi to anyone seeking delicious sushi in the area!

Parking: Restaurant is in a shopping center with plenty of parking with a great number of accessible parking spots.”

“Citizen Vinyl has such a great vibe. They take great pride in every aspect of the environment. On one side, you can watch records being pressed and on the other side enjoy artists sublimely mix flavors into amazing drinks. We were fortunate enough to meet and chat with the owners. They are really working to make a difference in the community as well as reshaping the record industry one disc at a time. The staff takes feast pride in everything they do even down the music spinning on the turntable. When you visit, and you cannot go thru Asheville without stopping by, in addition to taking in the pressing and the drinks, make sure to look over the playlist. The team takes into account famous events in music history for each week to build their playlist. I cannot recommend Citizen Vinyl high enough. 6 out of 5 stars.”

We also got a craft beer and a hard cherry cider.. both good. Catering to an entire team of players and staff (circa 30 people) is a challenge, especially if you’re on a tight schedule. Cava delivered, the staff was friendly, speedy, and very accommodating. “I didn't think a pizza could ever bring me to tears, but I was wrong. I was visiting Asheville with my husband, 3-year-old, and 5-month-old when Hurricane Helene hit. That Friday night, when communications and water had been cut off, we didn't know the extent of devastation that area experienced. I went out to find some food for my family and saw some people inside Mission Pizza. I caught them as they were walking out and asked if they were open (again, communications were out, so at the time I didn't realize that I was asking a ridiculous question). The owner was about to drive away as I was talking to some of the employees and he overheard me say I was visiting. He gave me the pizza that he was taking to a friends house. I refused, but he insisted that I take it for my family. It was such a kind gesture on such a hard day that turned into an even harder weekend as the situation worsened. My thoughts, prayers, and donations are all being sent to the people of WNC! And thank you so much to the wonderful soul who fed my family that night. I will never forget the kindness he showed me.”
