“This is my favorite coffee shop in Asheville! I usually get a cappuccino, drip coffee, and one of the pastries and they are all fantastic. Ash always makes a perfect cappuccino with properly steamed milk.I’ll often hang out for an hour or two to work in the cozy cafe. I’ve also brought my three year old to the cafe and she thoroughly enjoyed her experience!“
“I got drip coffee - a local brew - which was absolutely delicious and hands down 5 stars. I gave the food a 3 star rating because unfortunately the breakfast sandwich was soggy, bland, and frankly inedible. I would however go back and get the coffee again and try something else from the menu. The breakfast brownie for example looked very good.“
“Excellent high quality food just like their original Strada restaurant. Here it is more about small plate meals, which can get a bit pricey. The atmosphere could be a bit more cozy and higher end with the price point they are at.Dietary restrictions: Very willing to cater to people's needs like food allergens.“
“After a great dinner, we walked around checking out different shops and looking for a cookie to take back to our hotel. It was our first time in Asheville visiting friends who moved here over a year ago. This was a very popular spot for an evening snack. They had all the classic pastries that you’d hope for, including cheesecakes, key lime pies, cookies. We were pleased and came out with one pastry and 2 chocolate dipped peanut butter cookies. They were fantastic!“
“such a cool tour, Franco was our tour guide and he was so funny and made a good environment to ask questions! really cool that they allow tours and the info they share is really interesting! it’s free and not super long so it’s a fun short thing to do, plus they have good merch and a cute cafe in “
“Stopped here on a road trip and didn’t want to leave. Chuck, the owner, is a delight and an insanely talented artist. We had a nice chat while he prepared our lattes (which were some of the best we’d ever had), and what a delight! I’d be a regular if I didn’t live on the wrong coast.“
“Absolutely love this place! Almost scared to rate it so high and encourage others to stop in. But they truly do deserve it. Wonderful staff always available to answer questions and give insight on their vast menu of specialty cocktails and Mezcal flights. Amazing atmosphere offering both inside and outside seating with heaters to take the edge off the winter temperatures. It is a small building/occupancy but I think it truly adds to the ambience of the space. And to top it off the food truck parked just behind is amazing.Parking: Lot between the brewery and Anoche has plenty of parking. Also a few spots on the street.Kid-friendliness: Not a location I would recommend taking your kiddos.“
“Chaunie’s is absolutely the best place to go for coffee! I’m a daily regular that can’t get enough of the coffees and tacos. My personal favorites are the cold brew with salted caramel and house made oat milk, hot mocha, caramel lattes, and tacos. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“A quaint little local spot sporting a delicious selection of coffees, espresso, and pastries. We had a drip coffee, a pour over, and two different croissants and everything tasted great. The pour over didn't have the cleanest pull, but that's only if I'm nitpicking. The atmosphere was calm and inviting, but also bustling enough that I could study or work and enjoy the background as white noise. Our little breakfast was scored by Cage the Elephant's album Social Cues and then some late 2010s J-Pop, which helped make the experience feel cinematic. Definitely will be adding this to the itinerary again next time we visit. We also bought a cute mug to celebrate the occasion!“
“Hands down the best cocktails in town. But what really takes The Times to the next level is the friendly staff and chill atmosphere. The drinks are made with so much thought and care and I love that the staff are encouraged to experiment and workshop new ideas and flavor profiles. It’s a must visit locations.Parking: Download the ParkMobile app and you’ll find a spotWheelchair accessibility: Roll right on in off the street, no stairs“
“My husband and I found this through AirBnB. Honestly 12/10, Toni really knows her stuff, and was so sweet. We learned so much and had a blast getting to brew our own coffees. I’ve already recommended to multiple friends, such a fun day date activity!!!“
“This place was amazing to discover while staying in flat rock for the week. Enjoyed some food and drinks while playing some board games that we never played. Love the concept of the store. Getting away from the devices and spend some quality time like the good old days.“
“Simply the best place for a lunch or a breakfast! Also the new brunch is fab. Nothing like a mosaic sandwich sitting outside during the summer watching Biltmore park thrive. The staff is amazing, the food is exactly what you want, the atmosphere is lovely and full of good smells and love. If there is a Mosaic fan club I am a proud board member.“
“Nice downtown coffeehouse that was open on the weekend. Beautiful interior, marble tabletops and walnut paneling. Baristas were very knowledgeable and service was great even though it was about to close. Will definitely be back to try all of the coffee.“
“Full transparency: my husband and I originally came here to order some pastries, especially after seeing how delicious they looked online. Unfortunately, they had already run out by the time we arrived. We didn't want to leave empty handed, so we both decided to try one of their drinks. My husband ordered a hot chocolate and I ordered a brown butter chai latte. My latte was super creamy and had a nice buttery flavor at the end. It was divine! I do hope to return soon and try some pastries next time.“
“Not to sound dramatic, but I legit had the best chai I’ve ever had here and their coffee is just as amazing. The perfect accompaniment while you hunt for treasures at Tobacco Barn! The owners are awesome humans to boot. Highly recommend!“
“This was my first time at this cool little coffee shop. The person working was friendly and helpful, even though she had a lot of people coming in and out. The drip coffee was fresh and tasted great. While I didn't eat anything today, they have several gluten free/vegan options for muffins and breakfast bars. Their smoothies seem popular with the people who just finished their yoga class at the studio two doors down.I'm looking forward to coming back to try their Gluten free options!“
“Very cool spot! I love the bus concept. It was fairly busy when I went on a Wednesday afternoon, but the service was very quick. I wish the upper deck was open to the public, but I understand why it's staff only. My berry smoothie was delicious and well priced. Will be back next time I'm in Asheville!“
“I was asking questions about the orange cardamom and building an order with the barista and was amazed by how knowledgeable and considerate she was. Great drinks and great prices as well. I love the high ceiling too! Reminds me of coffee shops in my home town :)“
“I read all the reviews online and decided to get the brekkie wrap. It was as delicious as everyone said! The wrap and a cup of cappuccino was just about 12bucks, which is a great deal. I saved the second wrap for lunch. They have other options with bagels and a vegan selection as well.Great spot, with indoor and outdoor sitting space. Went by on a Saturday morning and it was packed by 9.30am but I still got an indoor seat. And the service was super fast.Highly recommend.“
“Second time here, first experience was just as good as this one.Pros: Very cool menu, with innovative offerings. Taste 10/10, baristas choice with nutmeg, cinnamon, sweetener, walnut, in a flat white, latte art off the chain. House-made creations and flavors. Strong espresso complimented the latte. Love the interior, long high tables and cute elevated table/chair combos. The best part about this place is that you cant go wrong in that their baristas are all very well trained and their offerings are guaranteed to be tasty.Cons: Place is often packed with people sitting down and working so it can be hard to get a table at peak hours. That and while the baristas are very knowledgeable, their attitudes comes across that you are annoying them. Even being said, this is still one of my go-to places in Asheville since their coffee is that good.“
“I only had a latte, but it was terrific! Lovely little coffee shop, I've passed by it many times, only on the way to someplace& usually in the evening after they've closed. I had no food, but definitely will visit there again to try their “
“Amazing coffee, unique specialty selections along with delicious breakfast options. Including a vegan creamer cheese/pimento cheese. Offers alt. Milks. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Very clean. It is also a victim of its success with sometimes it being so busy there is little space to sit and crowding to move around. High five is the real deal!My favorite has been, "The Storm" double espresso, hot with oatmilk and a kick of Cayenne.Vegetarian options: Vegan cream cheese/ pimento spreadOat milk optionsCroissants, bagels.“
“One of the coffees didn't specify that it had dairy and we had to reorder it black. Other than that, the avocado toast was great. It came with a side salad of Kale that really complimented the dish. This place is seated in the heart of Asheville, great location to walk around, great outdoor seating. Even in the cold there were heat lamps outside, very interesting.“
“Delightful little spot in Biltmore Park. I went here twice and was delighted. The workers are young and a little distracted, but kind. I love that they have a ton of healthier options. They have some sugar-free and more natural flavors. A good amount of berry and healthy as well as not healthy toppings. But I'm kind of a basic girl anyway.Seems pretty clean. Inside was a little bright and empty. I wish they had better seating or something outdoors but I know that would be hard in the area. I do appreciate it is super walkable and in a convenient location. Would definitely go here again“
“THIS IS YOUR SIGN TO STOP HERE!☕️?such an incredible atmosphere and delicious coffee & chai!! The chai is so flavorful and the perfect balance of spicy and sweet. (Not the cheapo plain cinnamon kind ya know?) Also the staff were so kind. I purchased some last minute Christmas gifts too (a super cute car diffuser, some coffee beans, a tshirt, and some local matcha!) they had an awesome set up and I’ll definitely be coming back.“
“Not only is this a gem of a spot where you can see records being pressed while you sip on a cozy latte - Cheryl aka the Giddy Chick has taken over Sessions Cafe and made it next level!!! From the Falafel Waffle, to the personal sized quiche, the amazing egg Sammie to the curried cauliflower Buddha bowl, the hardest part is making a decision!!! Don’t sleep on dessert either - Cheryl ran the pastry program for the Inn @ Biltmore and before that the Ritz in both Chicago & NYC. Her Cookies! Her Pastries! OMG!!!Pro tip: She also does custom cakes and pies.Vegetarian options: From the quiche (best ever) to the curried cauliflower Buddha bowl to the falafel waffle, Cheryl has got you covered with any dietary restrictions.Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian, Vegan & Gluten Free Options, soooooooo delicious!!!“
“We had brunch here around 10am on a Saturday morning and were seated immediately. There was enough delay before being greeted by our waiter that we had looked over the entire menu and went ahead and ordered food with our drinks. Everything came out in a reasonable time. The French toast only comes with 1 piece which is unfortunate because it was very good. The eggs were under seasoned, but the portions were very generous because of the amount of sides given. All of the food was good but you are definitely paying a premium for the location and atmosphere (eating outside on a patio downtown).“
“Banana bread (GF) and coffee... always when I go to Asheville. Staff is friendly and give recommendations. I always stop here!GF breakfast sandwiches are really good and portioned well. (Not miniature brick bread!)Did I mention the "banana bread" ? YummiestTry all of their sweet treats!“
“This place is a rare gem. It’s unique and quirky in a world of sameness. The raised, lounge area is sunny and comfortable and a great place to sip a coffee, work, or play.My son loves the free video games and gluten free doughnuts. They have some of the best prices on vintage albums in the city and an eclectic offering of cute, funky, and fun toys and collectibles. The place also serves as a kind of community center and hosts all kinds of events from movies and game nights, to open mic nights, all displayed on a huge Chalkboard calendar. It’s homey and real feeling and a refreshing respite from hipster cafes with pretentious baristas charging $7 for a cup of foam.We have a lot of lgtbq safe spaces in this city, which this place definitely is, but where can nerds go to feel safe? The answer is the Elder Dragon, aka, The Nerd Dungeon.Dietary restrictions: Gf doughnutsKid-friendliness: Kids are welcome and love this place.Wheelchair accessibility: Ground level, no steps“
“While the cafe does not have any food options, the drinks are incredible. You can opt in or out of CBD in most of the drinks. The atmosphere is comfortable, with good music and tasteful decoration. Service is swift and the workers are polite and attentive. For the quality and comfort, the prices (4-8$ per drink) are very reasonable.Vegetarian options: As the menu mostly consists of drinks (coffee and tea), it is vegetarian.Kid-friendliness: There are options without CBD for children, and the high is not the focus. A calm environment without any dangers.Dietary restrictions: There are options without milk for the lactose intolerant.“
“This spot is ALWAYS one of the TOP 3 ⭐️ ? I visit, ??NATIONWIDE??, baby! The coffee is better & warmer, their food is waaaaay better, their service is superior, ✨restrooms✨!!Obviously this store sees a huge increase in traffic just due to their location (Biltmore area & the ‘Home’, schools, hospitals, mall & other shopping, etc, etc, etc).Parking: Parking is free, but at peak hours it CAN be difficult. Just be patient, park somewhere you aren’t blocking others, pre-order (if possible) & jet. You won’t have too much of a problem! Just be smart about it.Wheelchair accessibility: It’s there up front & the walk & entrances are very accessible. Should be able to use it with no issue.“
“This was our first time at OWL and it was a hit. The orange blossom cappuccino was delicious, floral, and not too sweet. Husband loved the traditional cappuccino and said it was so good it needed no sweetener. We had the quiche which was lovely and not overcooked. I would say it was light on herbs. The pecan streusel slapped! It is similar to baklava in texture, some might say a southern baklava. Overall worth a trip to OWL!“
“Ultra laid back in a way that only the RAD can be, this is a relaxing, comfortable little shop for a well-made cup and a tasty bakery treat. I tried the Banana Bread Latte and was surprised by how well it evoked the grandma’s-kitchen classic. Superb, friendly and engaging service topped off the experience.“
“Great team of employees here. They made some awesome recommendations. Yummy in my tummy as my child says. Food was made right in front of us, so hot and fresh, tough to beat these donuts once you've had them!! Get the maple bacon. Thank me later!“
“i have been a regular at elevated kava for about a year now, and i have come to know this place as my second home. every kavatender is extremely friendly and knowledgeable, the environment is so cozy and artsy, and i truly feel a "come as you are" vibe. i've tried every other kava bar in asheville and none feel quite the same. their product is top notch and the atmosphere is the most inviting out of any of the other kava lounges i've tried. 10/10 recommend, love love LOVE this spot!!! the downtown location is just as lovely :)“
“This is my favorite spot for cake doughnuts in town. Asheville definitely has a great food scene and it’s nice to see this place exist within that! They have good coffee options as well in case you like to dunk your cake doughnuts like me!The location is fun since it’s walkable to everything else in the downtown scene. If you haven’t tried Vortex you should definitely give it a shot (and then multiple after that).“
“We ordered a ice cream cake from this location and pickup was downtown Asheville....absolutely worth the price. It was some of the freshest ice cream I have ever tasted. The service was outstanding...Greg the gentlenen who assisted with the order was very professional and willing to make sure the it was done in the time I needed and done as ordered on line. Emails were promptly answered. Ambiance...not applicable because pickup was curbside. Will absolutely return and get a bigger ice cream that and not just for a birthday. Thank you for assisting in helping us celebrate my husband's 60th birthday!“
“BLUF: I am not sure if I would return here, but it was good for a first experience. Good food quick service but way over priced. Small location located in the front of a mall makes for a very interesting experience. The prices were very high for what you ultimately get and kind of leaves you wanting more with not a whole lot of purse to do it. The location in the mall probably makes for a very high rent area. This makes it difficult for a small business to maintain low prices. Although the food was good, I'm not sure I got the value of my money For two of us to eat breakfast here it cost almost $40.“
“Great coffee and chai. Amazingly fast for the quality. Every barista I encountered was friendly and skilled. The art is quality and affordable. The vibe is uniquely edgy yet inviting. My favorite coffee bar I found in Asheville. I visited a few times- all with exceptional service and drinks.“
“Cool place. It's amazing that sober bars exist. (I said that 20 years ago, and nobody believed me). Thankfully there's no issue with alchemy here, but having recommended this place based on others' recommendations to countless people I've met through programs including the big one called life, I just had to go check it out. Great vibe. Cool house band. I'd read about Kava a bit yet nothing compares to the deft realization that kava is different to the palate and def it is not to be sipped leisurely like a good bourbon. This was a quick spur or the moment visit for the two of us. We both plan to visit again and meanwhile will keep enjoying some other adult concoctions.Fireworks pic from the same night #Touristgame #OpeningDay“
“I looove Bee Thai! Love that the new chef is honoring the tradition of excellence in Thai food that Little Bee laid out ahead of him, while bringing a new spin with a menu full of a mix of traditional Thai options and classics (like my favorite pineapple rice:)). Super quick on takeout orders too. Love this place- will be a regular.“
“I believe food prices in general have gotten out of hand. $4.85 for a 6" burrito with hardly anything on it is a little steep in my book. Don't go in hungry or you will pay more and eat more. I had two egg, bacon, and cheese burritos. They were exactly that. The green salsa did make it a little different. The salsa was good. I don't know when they are busy, but I can imagine parking being horrendous. There isn't much parking. The restaurant is in an old building and you can definitely smell the mustiness in the air. I don't have the best hearing and there was a lot of noise behind the cashier, but I could not hear a word the cashier said. Interesting that they would like you to provide a tip up front when you order, but then you sit down and there is a sign that says, "Please bus your table." What was my tip for?“
“Izzy’s is the best! I was actually on my way out of Asheville and left my wallet in the shop. When I realized, I was already states away. They were so kind and actually shipped my wallet to my home in Texas!! Not to mention I had an absolutely fire London Fog latte while I was there. 10/10“
“Being a barista in the obx I’m a tad picky about my coffee. These guys are awesome! My wife and I loved our coffees and our breakfast sandwiches even more! Blueberry goat cheese w prosciutto was delightful! Will definitely be coming back next time we’re in town!“
“I order somewhere around 12-15 bouquets from Flora every year. Nothing compares in Asheville. Not only are they the most beautiful arrangements in town, they are also the sweetest people. I had to put my pup down and realized I hadn’t pre-ordered flowers for my mom whose birthday is tomorrow. I’m a mess and the idea of driving to pick up flowers was almost insurmountable. They made it work and delivered the most stunning flowers to me so I can take them to her tomorrow. So grateful. Love you, Flora ❤️“
“Perfect place for coffee and bagels before a busy day. This is a true espresso experience—first time I’ve seen a cortado on a menu since I was the one making them—so don’t expect Starbucks style macchiatos. I definitely recommend coming here if you’re staying at the Renaissance hotel (it’s a five minute walk away).“
“I often find myself wandering into Battlecat when I'm on this side of town- the coffee is always delicious whether it's drip or a fancy chai latte, and the vibe is always so positive inside! It's a cozy place to relax and enjoy a book or some company. Plus, the name rocks!Dietary restrictions: all the different coffee milks are available.“
“Great coffee (especially the espresso and the dirty chai)! The folks are friendly, the pastries are very good, and there is plenty of seating outside. It's a great neighborhood joint and very convenient for folks visiting Carrier Park.“
“With 900+ 5-star reviews already in the books, Hole doesn't really need still another, yet here I am, piling on. Great doughnuts - near perfect mix of slightly crispy outside and airy inside. Friendly, enthusiastic service, and good coffee from a nearby roaster. Kinda cool, too, to see them being made, to order, right on front of you. Nice, non-chainey atmosphere, to boot.“
