“We all need a cup of overpriced coffee at times. The barastias are courteous and helpful. My main complaint is that flavor can vary each time depending upon their methods. I always enjoy a good mocha frape, just wish that it was consistent.“
“Just want to say the service was great. Also hope the lady in the black Ford Fusion, that paid for our order will see this. We were in the black GMC truck. The young man at the window said you paid for our order because you seen the Marine sticker on the truck.. Thank you! Really appreciate it.. I wish some one was behind me so I could have paid it forward. Thanks again. Tim“
“Sometimes I feel bad because I think I rate businesses too harshly, like maybe I just expect too much. Then I come to places like this and I see what a 5-star rating restaurant truly looks like.Everything was amazing. Our server was on top of things, continually filling our waters and we never ran low. Our food was delivered quick and fully correct. I ordered the crispy chicken, and, while I'm not a fan of collards (my wife loved them), it was one of the best meals I've had. The presentation was incredible and truly a 5-star dining experience. They don't have a kids menu, but since we really wanted to come here, we called ahead and they graciously said they can make something work. Our girls ordered chicken tenders and fries and they said it was the best (direct quote) chicken tenders they've ever gotten! I can't give this place higher praise than that.Richard, the owner, stopped by our table at the end of our meal and we had a great conversation about their story, their travels, and what led them to open this place that used to be a run-down gas station. This place is the definition of 'excellence' that so many restaurants promise but fail to live up to. I can't wait to come here again!Kid-friendliness: No kids menu, but they can work with you to make something work“
“i really enjoyed this! i was hungry after a long hike and i’d read good reviews about this place. I ordered el cubano sandwich and a water. the sandwich was great, toasted well with good ingredients, and it came with potato chips that i enjoyed putting in the sandwich. The water was nice and cold too. Only suggestion is asking for extra pickles in the sandwich, they need a little more in the ratio. Very pleased! would take anyone here!“
“Light, crispy, warm, delicious! These may be the best donuts I've ever had! I just wish the hours were a little longer / more regular - it's hard to line up a stop when we pass by Black Mountain. Updated from previous review on 2024-04-07“
“Stopped here on a road trip and didn’t want to leave. Chuck, the owner, is a delight and an insanely talented artist. We had a nice chat while he prepared our lattes (which were some of the best we’d ever had), and what a delight! I’d be a regular if I didn’t live on the wrong coast.“
“Chaunie’s is absolutely the best place to go for coffee! I’m a daily regular that can’t get enough of the coffees and tacos. My personal favorites are the cold brew with salted caramel and house made oat milk, hot mocha, caramel lattes, and tacos. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“This coffee if so good! I always get drip when I come, whatever is the lighter drip for the day. The porch is a great place to chill, and they have a large vinyl selection inside with a player and speakers. I've always had a good experience with the staff too. If you like really good coffee fresh from the roasters down the road, you have to come here!!! Also, they usually have the windows open in the warmer months, so you can get free smells just by parking in the parking lot!“
“An absolutely wonderful experience at The Station. We just stumbled upon it on our trip to Black Mountain and the Espresso Martini as well as the Aperol Spritz were two of the best cocktails I’ve had. The staff were so fun and welcoming - we had a great time!“
“Not to sound dramatic, but I legit had the best chai I’ve ever had here and their coffee is just as amazing. The perfect accompaniment while you hunt for treasures at Tobacco Barn! The owners are awesome humans to boot. Highly recommend!“
“I only had a latte, but it was terrific! Lovely little coffee shop, I've passed by it many times, only on the way to someplace& usually in the evening after they've closed. I had no food, but definitely will visit there again to try their “
“A cute and cozy cafe nestled in the heart of Black Mountain! The atmosphere of the physical space is really lovely. There is lots of seating and wifi amidst a calm setting. I was happy to find no distractingly loud music playing, which I’ve noticed has become popular in coffee shops. The barista who made my latte was very sweet, and made a beautiful rosetta! Plenty of pastries. They even had gf + vegan options from the local company, Dolci di Maria. A cute little spot to hit up before/after a hike or yoga class (shoutout Black Mountain Yoga)! Definitely check it out.Dietary restrictions: Gf + vegan pastry options! Limited, but they’re there!“
“This is my absolute favorite Thai restaurant in the Asheville area by far. The spring rolls alone are to die for, and all the entrees are reasonably priced and delicious (as a vegetarian I LOVE the veggie delight with tofu). Great ambience too with new decor regularly.“
“Baked pie company has been one of my family's favorite dessert spots for years. My wife and I frequently enjoy lunch dessert dates there throughout the week. All of the pies and the great selections are wonderful. The service is always great and the restaurant is always really clean. We also enjoy on warm days sitting outside on the patio, enjoying a nice pie flight. We visited there today and I will note that we were a little disappointed to find that they no longer had flavored coffee creamers. I know this might sound a little, but I hope that they will bring back the flavored creamers as nothing goes better with a pie fly than a nice cup of coffee.Still well worth a five-star review!“
“This was my first time at this cool little coffee shop. The person working was friendly and helpful, even though she had a lot of people coming in and out. The drip coffee was fresh and tasted great. While I didn't eat anything today, they have several gluten free/vegan options for muffins and breakfast bars. Their smoothies seem popular with the people who just finished their yoga class at the studio two doors down.I'm looking forward to coming back to try their Gluten free options!“
“A group of friends and I in desperate need of coffee stumbled on this place while on a girls trip in Asheville, and we were not disappointed! Most of our group got Chai Lattes, I got a Lavender Latte, iced. The shop is so sweet; there's ample room to sit and hang out, and even a drive-through if you're in a hurry! How cool for a little local shop! The folks working and making beverages were so sweet and patient with us as we decided what to get. Guys, I got to the bottom of my iced latte and realized my ice cubes were brown. They took the extra step of adding coffee ice cubes to my drink so even down to the last drop was delicious. Definitely suggest this little Gem if you're heading through Asheville and need a refuel!“
“A very nice little coffee shop with breakfast and lunch sandwiches..There is indoor a d outdoor seating...The staff is very friendly and helpful...They also have great desserts and offer local honey and various other items...It's connected with Cheryl's Place which is a very nice thrift store with a small gallery room from local artists...One of my favorite places to stop...“
“We were in Black Mountain on a quick getaway! We took in a Basketball Game at Montreat College and wanted something sweet after. We headed just a short drive to get milk shakes from Hop! Absolutely amazing! The young man that was helping us was attentive to our needs, and prepared the most delicious milk shakes. Prices were reasonable and product was great. We loved the set up of the shop. We will definitely return!“
“Great place! Highly recommend.Vegetarian options: Vegan patty, vegan chik’n, often vegan soup, oat milk ice cream, vegan cheese, vegan mayo, probably more.Wheelchair accessibility: Single/family, Wheelchair accessible restroom, which is also gender-free! ?“
“We came in at 3:59 & discovered they close at 4! We ordered quite a lot to go, of course. They were all so nice and did not hurry us at all. We had a 2+ hour drive home and ate under a shade tree in the parking lot. The food was excellent, as usual. We will return the next time we are in Asheville. Love their soup, sandwiches, and breakfast bowls. The restaurant is always clean.“
“You all if you don't already shop at this starbucks you totally should The lady in the drive through Jenn I believe is her name! is the energy and Motivation that we all need to start our day! The boys and I have become regulars simply because she's the best! Today she's dressed as a fairy and I'm sad my youngest was asleep she rocked it!! Don't sleep on this location they are THE BEST!!Kid-friendliness: My boys love the drive through lady! She is so kind to them and always thinking of them!!“
“The Starbucks that are inside Ingles are great. They serve coffee and a lot less communist pink haired nonsense. I like to get a coffee black...I can get that here and not come out of the store feeling like I need a shower from the stench of unbathed commi hippies.“
“All the Staff at this location are amazing! Always friendly! Its nice to see a smiling face in the mornings. Always fast and order is always correct. Robbie C and Joey are the dynamic duo! Best customer service no matter who you have though!“
“Predictably good coffee. Friendly staff that are constantly in motion putting through orders. We walk here and enjoy our reward for the morning walk, but it's worth stopping at the drive-through lane or getting out of the car to come on in.“
“Clean starbursts inside target. The barista was nice and friendly. Sometimes these Starbucks inside Target are not very good but this one was great. I ordered a white chocolate mocha. Pro tip: three pumps of white chocolate mocha, and one pump of mocha. Yum, better than the original. I would come back.“
“My friends and I had lunch at Tupelo Honey, but we went to Green Sage Cafe for coffee and dessert. The baked goods were fabulous with lots of gluten-free options for my friends. I bought a sugar-free dark chocolate bar that was the best chocolate I've ever had. I was telling the cashier about it when customers overheard me and a couple of them bought it! Service was good, the restaurant is pretty and comfortable and we very much enjoyed our dessert time.“
“I'll start by saying I go to McDonald's a couple times per year...and I usually regret it. Not the case here. The store is clean. The service is prompt and the food is hot. Not the usual McDonald's experience. I've been to this location 3 times in 3 years and it's been on point all 3 times. Will I eat there more frequently? No. But the next time I get the Mac attack I know the best option is on Hendersonville Road.“
“Such a great spot. I love it here. The service is wonderful. The space is cute and eclectic with lots of seating. The food is delicious and they have some unique takes like candied habenero scones. It's a little our of the way for me but it's a fun stop if I'm passing by on my way to black mountain. I definitely recommend if you're in the area.“
