“a quick google search brought me here and i am so glad it did. i didn’t get their names but the 2 working the front were just so sweet. this place uses coffee ice cubes!!!! i kept wondering why my drink wasn’t getting watery! wish i lived closer :-)”
“This place is amazing. There is a TikTok floating around of a man asking people to lie on blunt pretzels which I will not do. This place is amazing and I've watched them treat everyone amazing. I was there when that man came in a threw a fit because he didn't get treated the way he thought he was supposed to get treated. He was belligerent from the very start and cussing loudly in front of the kids. The man was a complete psychopath. This place was great and I recommend them to anyone. Even to people with mental health issues. So even if you think you are a giraffe, come on in and get you a fire pretzel!!!!!”
“Such a cute little spot! I got the Philly Cheese Steak Omelet (no peppers cause I’m a baby) and they loaded it down with onions and mushrooms to make up for the no peppers. OMG so delicious! The omelet was so fluffy and delicious and the steak, mushrooms, and onions were seasoned so nice! The biscuits with gravy are delicious!!! I could have gotten just that and been happy too lol. Everyone here is so sweet too. They greet everyone like they’ve known them for years (which they probably have as they knew almost every one by name!)Definitely will be back. Yum!”
“Stopped by for a quick to go lunch and it was QUICK! No reason to go to fast food spot with the food this good here and costing the same. Pulled pork had great flavor. Kid at counter had great attitude. You need those people at the front since it's the face of your company.”
“I love hot dog king. Hot dog King his my family says I was in my mama's stomach. So Hot dog King is my parents the workers there are fantastic I love them to. Coming to have a little King to work can you automatically my family shout out to Sam and the whole team January 17th 2024”
“We stumbled on this little place coming home from Gatlinburg and stopped for lunch and it was GREAT! The building (inside & out) looked a little old somewhat outdated, (but hey, those can be some of the best places to eat) and the parking lot was full, so we thought what the heck let's try it and we were glad we did... The service & food was terrific, and their prices are not too bad. My wife for the spaghetti, salad (and their Homemade Greek Dressing was awesome) & garlic bread. I got the Ham & Cheese sub with Potato Salad, and both were really good and we had plenty enough to bring home for supper. We travel to Gatlinburg often, so we have found a new place to have lunch when coming home...!”
“Takeout. Ropa Vieja, a Cuban dish was superb! The shredded pork was flavourful and the fresh peppers colorful and tasty. Even the yellow rice tasted good. And the plantains were fantastic, for two days. $5 several servings.Once before stopped here and picked up a burrito. It was so overstuffed I didn’t know how to eat it!Going again and want to try more of the dishes I’m unfamiliar with.Sense this is a gem of a place, in an unassuming location.”
“I wish I could remember the girl's name who made our sandwiches. But she was the best I've ever seen. Very friendly and service oriented. And she had our sandwiches made almost by the time we finished ordering.”
“The Food and Service is good But be prepared to spend alot of money. For 2 large and 1 small pizzas and 1 small order of wings I spent 75 bucks!!! I just can't do that on my budget. That is gonna be a every once in awhile meal. Lol.”
“The fries are usually bad at Burger King, not because I don't like the fries but because most places either serve them stale or don't salt them. They did a decent job here and I was able to enjoy themThe original chicken sandwich here wasn't perfect but had some crunch to it and was made fresh”
“Always great service! Always happy faces! My favorite Starbucks! Can't go wrong when going here! We love this place so much! Much love for Mrs. Monique & all of her wonderful staff ❤”
“Just want to say the service was great. Also hope the lady in the black Ford Fusion, that paid for our order will see this. We were in the black GMC truck. The young man at the window said you paid for our order because you seen the Marine sticker on the truck.. Thank you! Really appreciate it.. I wish some one was behind me so I could have paid it forward. Thanks again. Tim”
“Now that I have moved back to Swannanoa and there are less restaurant choices, I have tried Popeyes. I really enjoy their Blackened Chicken Sandwich, fried chicken sandwich, wings, and bone in chicken. There hasn't been anything wrong with the sides I've tried but they aren't my favorites. They employees have been very nice so far and prices are reasonable front these days.”
“Sometimes I feel bad because I think I rate businesses too harshly, like maybe I just expect too much. Then I come to places like this and I see what a 5-star rating restaurant truly looks like.Everything was amazing. Our server was on top of things, continually filling our waters and we never ran low. Our food was delivered quick and fully correct. I ordered the crispy chicken, and, while I'm not a fan of collards (my wife loved them), it was one of the best meals I've had. The presentation was incredible and truly a 5-star dining experience. They don't have a kids menu, but since we really wanted to come here, we called ahead and they graciously said they can make something work. Our girls ordered chicken tenders and fries and they said it was the best (direct quote) chicken tenders they've ever gotten! I can't give this place higher praise than that.Richard, the owner, stopped by our table at the end of our meal and we had a great conversation about their story, their travels, and what led them to open this place that used to be a run-down gas station. This place is the definition of 'excellence' that so many restaurants promise but fail to live up to. I can't wait to come here again!Kid-friendliness: No kids menu, but they can work with you to make something work”
“Wonderful for all occasions! Food is delicious and I have been coming here since 2004 …highly recommend it.Parking: It’s always busy in the Village but if you go early and not during peak hours you should be able to find a parking space. If not, walk around the village, there’s lots to see and do.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp to the side of the restaurant for wheelchairs! Enjoy”
“Love the Meadows area. It did feel like a daycare center on Friday afternoon. Moved over to watch volleyball to avoid the hoard of kids. Beer was nice. Had some small batch IPA that was nice. Really wish they would open up the roof deck to us instead of events only.”
“After coming to Asheville twice a year for 5 years, I really regret not knowing about this restaurant before. Today we decided to stop by and we had an amazing dinner experience. Flavorful, fresh and served with an honest and friendly smile. Deserve the high reviews and a bit more.”
“We decided to order everything that looked good and share it all since we were traveling through and likely can't return. We got the gnocchi (amazing) the crispy Brussels (best ever in our lives) beef cheeks (insanely tender and 10/10) pork belly (10/10) sunchokes (good but not exciting) fried chicken (perfect and the strawberry barbecue sauce was perfection!) and the schnitzel (the sauce was ISANE and a perfect dish!). Overall we LOVED this place and the prices were so reasonable! The two of us ate all we wanted and took tons of leftovers home with us. Love loves this place!”
“It is an excellent undertaking with a lot of courage in the middle of a totally American region, you have to have courage for it. The place is clean, small and cozy. It has a rear sharing area that offers a little more space or perhaps privacy to a group that wants it. In order to continue being cozy, there is a small outdoor table for those who want to enjoy the warmth of spring. Set with excellent decoration and Cuban photos, without forgetting the roots of the tasty Cuban sauce. I must say that I was expecting more Cuban variety on the menu. I certainly didn't try everything, but one thing they do is they love to have everything crumbled. The mostly Hispanic staff, the super friendly owner who tries to go the extra mile on a slightly restricted menu. The person taking orders should have more flexibility when making their offer and try to be a little more accommodating to the customer, which must be the reason for the restaurant's existence. I ordered a bowl of rice, beans, pork and tostones, which to be honest, I thought would be a little small and surprisingly it was a more satisfying portion of which I had leftovers because it was more than my exaggerated stomach can tolerate. As for the taste of the food, I will say that it is extraordinary, excellent, a flavor that highlights the tasty Caribbean seasoning. They offered me a homemade cilantro dressing that was not necessary for such a tasty meal that could have hidden the divine flavor of the food. Doña Beatriz, the captain and owner, was kind enough to sweeten my soul by giving me a coconut flan made by Cubans, but it was a Puerto Rican recipe. Without a doubt, impressive flavor. I couldn't leave without ordering the famous Cuban coffee, which was definitely the dot of the i. Fantastic taste of real coffee. ALERT for whoever comes, the place does not empty, despite visiting it at 1:30 pm the clientele did not stop. Congratulations to whoever deserves it for making this place possible.”
“My new favorite Asheville brewery! Gorgeous space, tons of outdoor seating in front and back (along the creek) and SUPER delicious food. Really friendly staff and on overall upbeat vibe”
“This place is genuinely one of my favorite places to eat in Asheville. The fries are authentic and superb, the chicken and fish are absolute perfection. The vibes are immaculate and the restaurant interior is very much reminiscent of a Belgian frituur. Highly recommend.”
“The food was excellent, service was quick and professional. Anil was spot on with recommendations and anticipated our needs perfectly. Despite being busy, food came out very quickly and everything was delicious.Vegetarian options: Very many vegetarian and vegan options. I had the chickpea saag and it was amazing and very filling.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options are clearly labeled and there were quite a few to choose from.”
“Wow! Coming from Miami, I can attest to the authenticity of this Cuban food spot. Delicious and delightful!! So glad we found this authentic gem! Definitely coming back for my local Cuban fix.”
“We had a great time celebrating my husband’s birthday tonight with our favorite wing flavors. Amber was so sweet and helpful! Always asking us if we needed anything. Love coming here!!”
“The calzones here are the best we've had in this area. That fact and that they're less priced than the competition around here pretty much cements where we get it calzones from now on. Not really going to push it since they definitely made the best one so far around Asheville, we think but, they could have a little more ricotta cheese and they'd go from a 9.5 to 10!”
“Visited Asheville for a few days and I ate at this location twice. Once to dine in and the other was carry out.The service and engagement from the staff was great! It seemed like a place that gave permission for their staff to be themselves, while focusing on the customers experience. We felt comfortable and at home.We got there before a line formed. It seems to come in waves. We were there mid week around 6:30p. Nevertheless, we ordered our food, got seated and the food began to come out as it was ready. The good was very good. I tried the chicken and waffles to play it safe initially. The waffles, eaten immediately while hot was the best way to go for me. Very tasty. The chicken was also pretty good and flavorful. Well seasoned. Not just that seasoning on the outside but not on the inside foolery. I could’ve done with a little less breading but still good. I went with the chicken fingers type pieces to last on top the waffles. The sides. Maaaaaaaaan!!!!Loved the sweet potato, corn casserole and Mac & cheese. Loved em! Ordered them twice.Enjoy the spot! It’s worth the visit. .”
“My go-to is the ice cream sandwiches! The balance of the cookies and the ice cream is perfect and you can take it to go as well without mess! I love the mission and I love the ice cream! Everyone is so nice and welcoming here. I will always be a customer!”
“Stopped here on a road trip and didn’t want to leave. Chuck, the owner, is a delight and an insanely talented artist. We had a nice chat while he prepared our lattes (which were some of the best we’d ever had), and what a delight! I’d be a regular if I didn’t live on the wrong coast.”
“Recommended by Scott at Weinhaus/Asheville- and we loved it! The entire staff was so gracious and attentive. The moule frites and steak frites were perfectly cooked and predented correctly. We cannot compare this to a better one, because we haven't found better than this. I loved watching the pétanque league play. We'll share our lucky find with our friends; when we move here later this year this place is our top destination.”
“Loved the rice bowl. My friend’s burger and fries looked terrific. The seating is weird. Low chairs, high tables or the reverse… Hope they work this out. Makes sitting at the bar preferable. Or takeout… Waze takes you to their old Tunnel Road location. They should move their sign on Tunnel over to their new location... The signage on the new building has the Terra Nova name with Loott’s only in the corner of the window.”
