I've had multiple different breads and pastries, fresh and delicious all. If you want great scones, try them, you'll love them. Best scones I've ever tasted.
Stopped on our way to Cullowhee. Only 5 minutes off of US 40 and SOOOO worth it! We had a cranberry scone just out of the oven and a loaf of the seeded sourdough bread. Both were outstanding!
Great scone and loaf of bread! The bagels were delicious with a really generous amount of cream cheese! Highly recommended!

Ovenbird Kitchen & Bakery is a fantastic, sweet little bakery. Everything is baked to perfection, with fresh and delicious breads, pastries, and bagels. The everything bagel is excellent with flavored cream cheese, featuring a crispy outside and soft, delicious inside. The bagels have an addictive chew with a light, soft dough and a high quality, toasty, yeasty flavor, making them hands down the best bagel ever. The Blueberry Scone is moist and delicious, and the scones are the best ever tasted. The bread is delicious too, and customers should definitely try a cookie. The service is relatively fast, and staff are exceptionally kind, patient, and accommodating, knowledgeable about the menu. The Cozy Bear cider drink is a favorite, and decaf espresso is available. The outdoor seating is enjoyable. The bakery is very reasonably priced, unpretentious, and affordable. It is one of the best bakeries, even better than hyped up bakeries in LA and NYC.
