“Not as good lately $4.25 for a just warm coffee....“
“Giving it 4 stars, trying to be nice. But the two employees were slow and did not looktidy. That goes for the entire place.Shelves are not refilled or are disorganized. Why soo many plastic cups on display ?OK, the place is inside Ingles supermarket and therefore has limited space. The more reason to make it look attractive as the Inglesstore is outstanding. My fozen Mint Frappuccino was good, no complaints there.But...please try a little harder to meet the otherwise higher standards of Starbucks.“

“I wanted a good brunch spot before exploring Asheville. I found Flour and read the reviews. According to the reviews, the bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit was a must-try because of how delicious and crispy the biscuit was. I wanted to see for myself how delicious this biscuit was, and I agree with the reviews. This biscuit combo was delicious!
I loved how the top of the biscuit was crispy while the inside was fluffy and tasty. The biscuit wasn’t dry, and the bacon was delicious with the melted cheese and egg. The potatoes were also delicious and crispy, especially with the aioli.
The staff was friendly and accommodating. I received my order quickly, within 5 minutes. I will definitely come back to Flour when I visit Asheville again!“

“I first learned about Bad Manners Coffee from their Instagram page and general social media presence. When I saw the sign as I drove through WAVL I was so excited I had to drop in to finally check it out. I tried a classic iced latte with house-made strawberry syrup added and a jalapeño bagel. The latte was the perfect amount of sweet without being cloying and the bagel was warm, buttery, flaky, and had the absolute barest hint of spice. I love spice so would have enjoyed a little more but it’s mild enough that you could give it to a slightly adventurous child and they would excitedly tell you “I ate something spicy” and you could smile knowingly.
I sat out on their small one-table patio to eat my breakfast and drink my coffee. I’m happy they have it as an option but I will say it felt slightly precarious as the deck slopes downward and there is a gap between the concrete slab at the door and the wood of the patio flooring. Elderly and disabled folks should avoid this area due to the uneven footing and safety concerns but the interior is accessible and has tables.
They put up billowing and gauzy curtains and artificial plant wall coverings over lattice work to evoke a sense of privacy between the surrounding businesses and the perpetual construction happening behind the building.
The music that played seemed to be a calm and ambient mixture of Phoebe Bridgers, Mitski, and other female singer-songwriters of similar genres. The aesthetics of the interior are bright and artsy with pink walls and leafy green plant life and create a comfortably welcoming atmosphere.
Bad Manners Coffee also seems to partner with some local artists as there were cards/mini-prints and stickers available for sale with individual payment options via Venmo available. We love a local business that supports local artists!
The two baristas I encountered were warm, professional, kind, and helpful. They gave recommendations on drinks and food to myself and all following customers without being pushy or sounding like they were performing from a script. Both ladies also had exceptionally lovely smiles and hairstyles!!
I had a wonderful visit and I will be back time and again now that I know this little corner of peace exists.“

“So…a kava bar…in a gas station…right off a major highway… Sounds like a disaster, right? When I tell you that you HAVE TO stop in, you HAVE to stop in.
The owner, Veronica, is a high-energy chick. She took a gamble and it is paying off. This wild location is weird in all the right ways. It has great views of the surrounding area and a very DIY feel. You can sense the heart and soul that was poured into this place.
So, how’s the kava? If you’re a purist, you’ll LOVE it here. No micronized. No extracts. Just fresh-brewed, filtered cold water, hand-squeezed kava. Vanuatu, Fiji, Tongan, Solomon, the full spectrum. It’s all here.
If you’re a kratom drinker, like I am, you may be disappointed to find it missing from the menu. However, there is a WIDE variety of coffees here. Veronica clued me into something called “white coffee” that is a MUST for anyone who is passionate about coffee.
Great views, wild location, immaculate vibes. “KavaXCoffee Asheville” is a must-stop location for both locals and passers-through.“

“This place is so great that we ate breakfast there every morning that we were in Asheville. On day one I had the Goat of Monte Cristo. They put their homemade raspberry preserve on it and it was mouth watering. I actually asked if I could buy a jar of it and bless their hearts they sold me a jar of the preserve, which is something that they don't normally do. Thanks you so much again. I am enjoying it at home now. Everything we ate was excellent, every day. They are located in the Grove Arcade Building. DON'T MISS IT!!!!“

“We have visited once for dinner and once for breakfast and I have a tough time putting down my utensils. Dinner with 4 had tartar and mussels and calamari apps and all were perfect. I had the Gemelli pasta dish (gluten sensitive) and enjoyed the flavors. For breakfast I had the Benedict Hash. My mouth wants to marry that sauce. The steak and eggs were perfectly cooked, the sauce is bold with lemon and paprika and oh so delicious.“

“I go to Izzy's on Lexington regularly. It's my favorite coffee shop in Asheville. Usually Rand is the barista when I show up and he's great at his job and he's warm and friendly. The coffee is good and the baked goods (especially the fig and olive scone) are delicious. The coffee shop has great art that rotates, local artists are supported. I would recommend Izzy's to anyone and have nothing but good things to say about it.“
“Decided to try a new spot, and happy I did! Rich flavor profile coffee, sweet people, clean space. Step off the main street and try Deep Time.“

“I am a foodie/food-snob. I admit it. I am so often disappointed by my restaurant experiences. Last night, my partner and i had one of the best meals in Asheville we can remember. Bold, sensual, well-balanced dishes (somewhere in the neighborhood Charleston's Xiao Bar Biscuit). Off the hook (if a little pricey) wine list.“

“They're wonderful bagels but would taste better if they didn't come burned (especially the cinnamon raisin) which makes the outside crumbly and the inside not so chewy.“
“NEWLY OPENED
So I decided to stop in, but decided to take it to go.
Small location with limited inside sitting available. Small patio with some tables and chairs. It was winter time when I visited so outside was NOT appealing to me at that time.
Seems more of a drive thru location that anything else.“

“I just stopped after googling the best place for coffee near me! Google did not do me wrong! It’s a cute little “hole in the wall” place, and the coffee… ❤️ the Barista (I’m sorry I didn’t get her name) was so welcoming and suggested a coffee on my tastes! And she made it so well. I am going to enjoy this and be sad that this place is 10 hours away from me! If you’re in the Asheville area…this is worth the stop!!“

“The atmosphere and drinks were amazing! However we arrived around 5 o’clock and were told no coffee after 4pm - but they had coffee for cocktails. It was upsetting for our designated driver who was looking forward to enjoying a coffee while we had cocktails. Hoping this rule will change so we can enjoy a responsible night out in the future!“

“Always friendly, uses Ingles brand milk which comes from local dairy farms (for whole milk at least) which is nice, never closes early just to close early like the stand-alone stores. You can't use the Starbucks app to order ahead at this one or get them to scan it just for reward points but you can scan your Ingles Advantage Card and get gas points at all of the Starbucks that are inside Ingles grocery stores.“
“Today was a very special experience. I called and spoke with Casey and after our brief call and her positive tone and eagerness to help, it was clear that I could get out of the house, not isolate, and come and work with her in person. My fur-baby of over 15 years crossed the rainbow bridge this morning. I was seeking a special plant to deliver to the caregivers at a local daycare that have helped me so much with him these last several weeks to say thank you and have some additional closure and share kindness in the midst of one of the hardest days that I could imagine, although I knew that this time was soon to come. Casey welcomed me into her shop and supported me with much empathy, kindness, and grace to help shop for the caregivers, but also a beautiful orchid for myself and some candles to light in his memory over this upcoming long weekend where I’ll be inside. I was able to get a new journal just to write this weekend about memories of him. Casey surprised me with something unexpected as well to express the condolences of Flora. Keep in mind that I had never been to Flora before, I am new to Asheville, and sometimes the most genuine kindness can come from people and places that you may least expect it. I do have another dog that is a rescue and I would like to know if the shop is dog-friendly. I would love to come there on the weekends sometime and have a coffee and feel held and know that I belong in a place of such pawsitivity and acceptance. Be like Casey! Be Kind! The world needs more kindness and compassion now than ever before. I will be a routine customer and I highly recommend that you all visit this business when possible. You will not regret it! Thank you Casey, Thank you Team Flora! I haven’t made the time to write a review in a long time for a place of business as I do not believe that negative reviews are too useful, but this service today was amazing and worth sharing. Keep sharing that kindness each day with each customer. It is noticed and immensely appreciated! With immense gratitude, Matthew“

“This is the first time we have ever visited a place where the donuts were made fresh to order however you like them. They were AMAZING! Since we had never been there before, we weren't really sure what we were doing. The clerk showed us a card with all the options and also told us that we could create our own. We didn't really notice how to create our own until after we had ordered, so more explicit instructions would be helpful for newbies. However, I HIGHLY recommend this place!“
