“On Saturday, February 14th, I went downtown for a solo dinner at Huli Sue’s and quickly realized I had completely forgotten Billy Strings was in town for the weekend. Between Valentine’s Day and a sold-out show within walking distance, downtown was absolute chaos. Walking into Huli Sue’s, though, felt like stepping into a well-oiled machine. The hostess (I truly wish I had gotten her name) greeted everyone calmly and kept the flow of guests organized and welcoming. They were operating on a reservation system for the evening honestly genius given the circumstances. Even as a party of one, the wait was about an hour and a half, which I completely understood. Knowing I was craving their food, she suggested takeout. She even let me sit at the table where they roll silverware so I could look over the menu and wait for my roommate to text their order and never once made me feel rushed. While I waited, I watched her run the entrance like an absolute goddess. She was pleasant, efficient, and incredibly organized. Every table being notified was already set, down to water poured and ready. When guests arrived, she greeted them with genuine enthusiasm and walked them to their tables like they were honored guests. Downtown was a madhouse. People kept walking in without reservations, and she calmly explained the wait. When guests were understandably discouraged, she let them know they were accepting reservations for the 15th and I honestly didn’t hear a single person turn her down. She made everyone feel welcome. Despite the cold and the madness outside, the restaurant remained calm and peaceful inside. Even at full capacity, the volume stayed comfortable. The kitchen ran like an orchestra no yelling, no chaos, no stressed staff just teamwork and smiles. I wanted to take a moment to praise Huli Sue’s, their staff, and their phenomenal hostess. They handled what could have been an overwhelming night with grace and efficiency. They already had my business —but after that experience, I’ll make it a point to go even more often.“

“On July 6, 2023, my husband and I ate at The Madness on Merrimon Ave for the first time. I ordered sushi and he had a burger. We both had salads and spring rolls. The service and the food was excellent. Nothing to complain about. We look forward to visiting The Madness again.“

“While on a camping trip with my fiance, we happened to meet Ms. Kelly who recommended Hail Mary for a dog friendly burger joint. Oh. My. God. Feom the second we walked up with the dogs all the employees (Shout out Zelma!) Were all smiles and so friendly. We both got a burger with plenty of dipping sauces and two dog patties for our pups. The food was quick to come out and so good, and the pups loved all the attention! Definitely worth the drive out and we're already planning on coming back :)“

“What an awesome early dinner! We had drinks, which I could have drank so many of them! We had the 6 pc wings and no doubt the best wings I've ever had. Then the real prize...my boneless ribeye! Melt in your mouth delicious!! My date had the 6pcs. Of fried oysters with fries and slaw,everything was so wonderful and our service was on point!“

“Let me start by saying that I live close to hotdog world in Hendersonville and still drive to Celebrity hotdogs! Fast service, love the man that’s always at the register. Not sure if he’s the owner but he’s got a wonderful personality. The food always slaps and I never walk away hungry! Highly recommend“

“Wife and I were visiting Asheville for the Southern Highland Craft show at the Civic Center. We parked in the Civic Center garage, and walked out to Rankin street, not knowing a thing about this area of town. We strolled up Rankin a bit, and saw a sign above the door of this place touting Asheville's best burgers. So, we went it. You order at the end of the bar and then sit down. They bring your food to your table. We each got the smash burger and tater tots, and just had water (self serve) to drink. These burgers are absolutely amazing, and so are the tots. We live in Greenville SC, and this burger beats anything we've had so far. Atmosphere is dive-bar and cool as hell.“

“We love our outings to Creekside - Georgia loves the chicken and fries and I had buffalo wings this time which I really enjoyed. I usually get the salad with smoked chicken and its my all time favorite. The staff are great and the atmosphere is cozy. So if you are looking for a great place to eat, with a good atmosphere and great eats - Creekside is my favorite place in East Asheville.“

“I see that the last review of this restaurant was in 2020, so though I don't have a lot to add, I thought I'd submit a more recent review to let people know that this restaurant is still in business and, from my experience there, has not changed much since the previous reviews. Basically, this is a short-order kitchen in a simple setting that serves a variety of breakfast items (eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, pancakes, omelettes, etc.) and lunch items (burgers, sandwiches, salads) for relatively low prices, in a simple take-out or small diner setting (with inside and outside seating). I would not describe the cooking as particularly special or delicious (as some have) -- it actually seemed pretty basic, but it seemed to be good quality (other than maybe the coffee) and at very good (low) prices. Overall, if you're in the area and would like a quick, inexpensive breakfast or lunch, it's pretty good.“

“I was in the drive thru and my husband saw a little squirrel looking for food reaching up at the order speaker. I cried because it was chilly and he ran away. I wish I could've fed him or put him in my car so he wouldn't get hit. As far as the food everything was very fresh and made to order very hot like we like it“

Everything with them was wonderful, the table near us was such a Karen towards them was complaining about something out of the servers control and was very rude to our server saying she wasn’t gonna eat it but it’s whatever she’ll feed it to her dogs! That’s just a little of what this customer was doing they were outrageous! But our server was beyond wonderful and I hope they never have to interact with that person again! “We were just there picking up slushes and a snack for my kids. There was an issue with the mic and the order got mixed up, but the lady at the window was absolutely wonderful. I wish I had gotten her name, but she not only corrected the charge on the ticket, but then she got the smaller drink that we needed from the wacky pack for my toddler without me asking. She went above and beyond to be kind and thoughtful. It made our afternoon!“

“It's OK never really had a real bad experience here nor the best. They seem to work with a skeleton crew through out the week and are very busy sense they closed the one on Patton Ave. I given them a 4 cause some time's there good and some time's they make miner mistakes. All in all food is good quality. Customer service is good also.“

“I've never seen a Mcdonalds employee being food to your table! Thank you for going the extra step. Bathrooms and dining room always extremely clean. The staff is always super polite and friendly. Food comes out quick, even for fast food. I sit and relax, watch the traffic on hendo road and eat. Thanx so much!“

“A little slower than most drive thru’s, but overall this McDonald’s is a good one. The most reliable drive thru on all of Merrimon. Considering I live up the road and most drive thrus are right along this strip of street, this is the only one I’ll go to since I can rely on decent service where the servers don’t forget about you.“

“I've been to this McDonalds multiple times while staying at the hotel next to them for business trips. The staff is always polite. The food is prepared in a timely manner and the quality is what you would expect from a fast food chain. I prefer to eat inside the dining area which always appears clean.“

“I have been to many fast food restaurants since the pandemic first came about and have had issues in one form or another at each and every one of them. But let me tell you about this crew at Wendy’s on Smokey park…. From the moment you walk in the door until you walk out they are the most polite and cheerful group. They acknowledged us when we came in and the cashier was stocking the condiments and cleaning the drink counter. She said I will be right with you and quickly finished up what she had started and came to take our order. The employees in the back cooking and assembling went right to work getting our order together. I made a mistake on my order and she quickly allowed me to fix it and was gracious about it and not rude like other places have been. We sat down and ate and others came in and they were just as polite. It was like a breathe of fresh air in these trying times we are in. 1000000% would recommend you eating here and seeing what I got to witness today.“
