While the fried baby back ribs appetizer stood out as excellent, the Mochiko Fried Chicken sandwich and Garlic Chile Shrimp were disappointing with flavorless chicken and rubbery shrimp. The hand-cut fries were greasy and lukewarm. On a positive note, the staff was attentive and the atmosphere was vibrant and inviting. The portion sizes were generous, perfect for sharing. The poke nachos, sample plate, and Huli Sue Chicken were all fresh and delicious. The restaurant also offers a wide variety of drinks, including a fantastic Mai Tai. The Ahi Tuna Nachos were highlighted as the best ever had by one reviewer. Overall, Huli Sue's BBQ and Grill offers a friendly atmosphere with hits and misses on the menu.
