Why haven’t I been here before?! Omg! So good! I got the poke bowl (a delicious combination of tuna, cucumbers and tomatoes in sauce) and hubby got the fried chicken sandwich….I think it is our new favorite chicken sandwich in Asheville. The honey sauce the used! Yum! Coming back. Great outdoor dining and all the food is great!

Some friends had recommended we try Huli Sue’s while in Asheville. This place is a must-visit! Great vibes, delicious food and unique flavours. The mochiko chicken sandwich, the nachos, and the BBQ (especially the ribs) were all awesome. We also grabbed a brownie to go. Will definitely be back next time we are in Asheville.

The staff was amazing! The food was spectacular! It’s definitely an awesome addition to downtown Asheville! Make sure to have a reservation so you don’t have to wait for a table. I see this restaurant being around for years to come!!!
Asheville is full of properly rated places, and many overrated places. This is one of the locations that we visited where I felt very strongly that it was underrated! The decor is modest compared to the quality of the food, drinks, and service that they offer. The food was absolutely delicious. I would recommend it over other very highly rated places like Tupelo Honey. The drinks are great. The chicken fried ribs and the wings were wonderful.
Ate here right after we got in town and very happy we did. All the food was great - they smoke their meat in house. Highly recommend the pastrami, and for sure get the green chile

All was so good! Me and my boyfriend love this place. We get Sandler (4 kinds of meat), it’s was amazing and really a lot so we split that. We love Huli ribs! If it’s your first time, you need try themOnly it’s sweet fried potatoes has been too much salt BUT it’s not was that bad how it’s can be.

My husband is originally from Texas and we love Hawaiian food, so it’s surprising that it took us this long to try Huli Sue’s — but now that we know how good it is, we’ll definitely be going back. The staff were all wonderful, and everything we ordered was great!Grove Arcade is a popular area for tourists and can be very busy, especially on the weekends when the weather is good, but we went a little after the typical lunch rush and were seated immediately. We sat outside on a beautiful, quiet Sunday afternoon and the atmosphere was very nice and peaceful.We started with the ube rolls — which are made by Mother (our favorite local bakery), so of course they were fantastic. I had the poke nachos and my husband had the mochiko fried chicken sandwich, and we split a side of mac. Everything was well prepared, flavorful, and delicious. Looking forward to trying more!

Love it!! For lunch, it’s a great spot for a fresh, unique salad with grilled mahi. After enjoying that several times, I brought a group for dinner and it was terrific! All 7 of us loved it! After the rib appetizer, everyone wanted the last one so we had to have a contest for it! The 100% brisket burgers are fantastic. The onion rings are a must-try. The poke bowl hit the spot for a light eater and the mac and cheese loaded with pork worked for the heavy eater. Don’t miss the desserts. Opinions were split as to which dessert was the very best, but they were all contenders. I loved the creamy mango cheesecake—and I don’t even like cheesecake usually! The chocolate cake won rave reviews from the traditionalists and the banana cream pie redefines the dessert in a delicious way. And don’t miss the fun Hawaiian cocktails—Mai Tai’s and Blue Hawaiians, etc.

Huli Sue’s BBQ was amazing. Stopped in for a quick lunch and was extremely satisfied. The food was great, the service was fantastic. Sam was our waiter and he did an outstanding job.Highly recommend the brisket, the fried Brussels sprouts, and the fresh poke nachos. The coleslaw was the best we’ve ever tried. Honestly don’t think you can go wrong with anything you order!Parking: Parking was quick and easy. Was able to find a spot in front of the restaurant strip.Kid-friendliness: Very cool place and spacious for kids. Kids meals were an extremely generous portion (for toddlers).Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp inside restaurant makes it very accessible
Huli Sue’s was so good we went to dinner twice there during our weekend visit to Asheville! Our server recommended the chicken fried ribs as a starter and we’re so happy she did! They were the BEST ribs we’ve ever had! For the entree, we both had the Huli Sue’s Chicken and that was amazing as well! The drinks were great too. We’ll definitely be making this a regular stop any time we’re in the area!

Our server had fantastic recommendations. The portion sizes are huge, the wings are fantastic (only photo I got because we ate everything else so fast).
