“Happy hour: 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm M - F
If you love beer or cocktails and you need an early dinner, this is a great happy hour. You can get a huge chicken sandwich that tastes high quality for $9 or a delicious burger for $12. Drinks range from $3 - $10. They have plenty of cocktail and beer options during the happy hour as well. The only thing I wish they did was a red and white house wine with the happy hour menu as well. Other than that this is perfect for people who want a fancy delicious experience without the high price tag.
The happy hour definitely made me want to come back for the full dinner menu! I will 100000% be back.”

“Our first time eating at the rooftop restaurant and we are so glad we did. We had pizza-Margarita and the Meatball ricotta. Both delicious. Some shared the chicken wings and crass salad, both very good! Kyndall was our server and she was very attentive and friendly. Also had Affogato for dessert and it was so delicious. Would recommend for anyone.”

“On Saturday, February 14th, I went downtown for a solo dinner at Huli Sue’s and quickly realized I had completely forgotten Billy Strings was in town for the weekend. Between Valentine’s Day and a sold-out show within walking distance, downtown was absolute chaos. Walking into Huli Sue’s, though, felt like stepping into a well-oiled machine. The hostess (I truly wish I had gotten her name) greeted everyone calmly and kept the flow of guests organized and welcoming. They were operating on a reservation system for the evening honestly genius given the circumstances. Even as a party of one, the wait was about an hour and a half, which I completely understood. Knowing I was craving their food, she suggested takeout. She even let me sit at the table where they roll silverware so I could look over the menu and wait for my roommate to text their order and never once made me feel rushed. While I waited, I watched her run the entrance like an absolute goddess. She was pleasant, efficient, and incredibly organized. Every table being notified was already set, down to water poured and ready. When guests arrived, she greeted them with genuine enthusiasm and walked them to their tables like they were honored guests. Downtown was a madhouse. People kept walking in without reservations, and she calmly explained the wait. When guests were understandably discouraged, she let them know they were accepting reservations for the 15th and I honestly didn’t hear a single person turn her down. She made everyone feel welcome. Despite the cold and the madness outside, the restaurant remained calm and peaceful inside. Even at full capacity, the volume stayed comfortable. The kitchen ran like an orchestra no yelling, no chaos, no stressed staff just teamwork and smiles. I wanted to take a moment to praise Huli Sue’s, their staff, and their phenomenal hostess. They handled what could have been an overwhelming night with grace and efficiency. They already had my business —but after that experience, I’ll make it a point to go even more often.”

“We have visited once for dinner and once for breakfast and I have a tough time putting down my utensils. Dinner with 4 had tartar and mussels and calamari apps and all were perfect. I had the Gemelli pasta dish (gluten sensitive) and enjoyed the flavors. For breakfast I had the Benedict Hash. My mouth wants to marry that sauce. The steak and eggs were perfectly cooked, the sauce is bold with lemon and paprika and oh so delicious.”

“I am a foodie/food-snob. I admit it. I am so often disappointed by my restaurant experiences. Last night, my partner and i had one of the best meals in Asheville we can remember. Bold, sensual, well-balanced dishes (somewhere in the neighborhood Charleston's Xiao Bar Biscuit). Off the hook (if a little pricey) wine list.”

“We’ve done takeout at Good Hot Fish before and enjoyed it. Had a friend who wanted seafood for her birthday so I suggest GHF since she’s been wanting to try it.
Our group ordered a variety of dishes and took them over to The Whale across the street to enjoy with some beers and wine.
This recent visit blew us all away. The Catfish sandwich was amazing! The 3 sides (collards, grits, potato salad) were all great as well. I tried some bologna trout, and wow was that delicious.
The sandwich and 3 sides were plenty of food to split with my husband.”

“Fantastic food. Fantastic service. Lovely ambience in the space. It feels like the kitchen really cares about the food it brings out. One thing I particularly liked was how well all the dishes were seasoned. A bit of heat here, a bit of spice there, and a dash of sweet when needed. And speaking of sweet, the lemon curd cheesecake is a wonder. I love it when the cheesecake part of the cheesecake isn't oversweet. The lemon curd gives a sweet and tart compliment to the creaminess of the dairy in the dish. It's dangerous, I tell you! We'll be back for more.”

“We were on our way through Asheville and found this little gem after our first choice was closed. Do glad we did. \n\nThey were quite full/busy but they fit us in and were very kind and gracious about it. \n\nThe entire experience was special. About four different staff members checked on us throughout our evening. \n\nTheir knowledge of the menu was incredible, and especially their very extensive wine list. \n\nWe started with their “Darling” bread and butter. Absolutely amazing. I would have been happy with just that. \n\nTheir offerings of different locally grown greens was amazing. \n\nWe had the lamb kebabs and rabbit pasta for our main. Our outstanding sever recommended two incredible wines to pair. \n\nAn incredible experience from start to finish.”

“A large group of us went and shared a bunch of plates, every single item on the menu was incredibly flavorful. It was hard for us to make up our minds on what was our favorite. Also, lots of good options for vegetarians. The atmosphere is beautiful and fun as well. I wish we had one in Greenville, but we will be back when we’re in Asheville!”

“My friend and I decide to go to Little D's due to an extremely long wait at another establishment. I'm so glad this is where we ended up! EVERYTHING is top notch- decor, service, cocktails & food! We sat at the bar for immediate seating. There is not one dish we tried that needed anything! Perfectly seasoned and plated with innovative flavors, textures & artistry. Thank you for the amazing experience.”

“Smaller than expected, really loved the vibe. Staff were super friendly and attentive, drinks were good and fairly priced for the place. Did not try much food but did try the affogato and it was perfect afternoon treat. Really like the concept and would definitely return. Side note, we really liked how they included other local shops/bars/restaurants in the back of their menu and ended up trying a couple from their list :)”

“I wanted a good brunch spot before exploring Asheville. I found Flour and read the reviews. According to the reviews, the bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit was a must-try because of how delicious and crispy the biscuit was. I wanted to see for myself how delicious this biscuit was, and I agree with the reviews. This biscuit combo was delicious!
I loved how the top of the biscuit was crispy while the inside was fluffy and tasty. The biscuit wasn’t dry, and the bacon was delicious with the melted cheese and egg. The potatoes were also delicious and crispy, especially with the aioli.
The staff was friendly and accommodating. I received my order quickly, within 5 minutes. I will definitely come back to Flour when I visit Asheville again!”
