“This is an absolute treasure for us out here in Leicester. The tortas are some of the best around. Can’t speak on the tacos since I religiously stick to the pastor torta. Highly recommended!”
“Great coffee, pastries and to-go snacks. This was an awesome addition to Leicester but like some newer spots they aren't that busy yet. Support local! I really think the owners need to invest in better signs out front to draw in customers.”
“We were greeted warmly at the door, and our server was extremely gracious and provided wine samples to help us choose the right bottle. The raw oysters were fresh and bright, the Big Bowl of Greens was a terrific salad to share. The NC Trout and Pork Schnitzel entrees were flawless. We shared a Black Forest Cake for dessert. In summary, it was a perfect dining experience.”
“We found this little gem by chance and were not disappointed. Great atmosphere, kid friendly (albeit its an adult place). We sat at a small corner table by the bar. We enjoyed some sharable plates, great wines, mocktails for the kids, excellent wines and my wife a great Vesper made by Luci (the bartender). But the cherry on top was the fact that she made a perfect Irish Coffee - a simple drink, but buttered by 99% of the bar tenders. We will be back.”
“One of the best meals I’ve ever had! Each dish was absolutely amazing. We ordered the pork lumpia, tuna, scallops, steak frites and queso ice cream. I can’t speak highly enough about how delicious each entree was. The staff was so friendly and I can’t wait to come back to Asheville just for this restaurant!”
“Huli Sue’s BBQ was amazing. Stopped in for a quick lunch and was extremely satisfied. The food was great, the service was fantastic. Sam was our waiter and he did an outstanding job.Highly recommend the brisket, the fried Brussels sprouts, and the fresh poke nachos. The coleslaw was the best we’ve ever tried. Honestly don’t think you can go wrong with anything you order!Parking: Parking was quick and easy. Was able to find a spot in front of the restaurant strip.Kid-friendliness: Very cool place and spacious for kids. Kids meals were an extremely generous portion (for toddlers).Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp inside restaurant makes it very accessible”
“I recently visited the plant for dinner and wow what an experience! Everything we ordered from the menu was fantastic. The mushroom ravioli was exceptional, definitely coming back for more. The curry bowl was amazing too! We also tried the peanut butter cheesecake and the cardamom creme brulee. One of the best creme brulees I have had!”
“Absolutely worth all the rave reviews. I'm a bit of a diva, and the wait was totally worth it, too. Had the Bhel puri as an appy and the Paneer Tikka Roll for the entrée and they were perfection.”
“This is my favorite coffee shop in Asheville! I usually get a cappuccino, drip coffee, and one of the pastries and they are all fantastic. Ash always makes a perfect cappuccino with properly steamed milk.I’ll often hang out for an hour or two to work in the cozy cafe. I’ve also brought my three year old to the cafe and she thoroughly enjoyed her experience!”
“Celebrated my daughter’s Michelle’s birthday dinner. Surprise was the cannoli and lovely strawberry on a lovely plate with a pink & white candle lit. Such a pleasant surprise. Excellent service. TY Gemellis. Perfect celebrationParking: Also close were the Handicap parking garage etc. TY so much”
“Finally found the Boba Fruit Milk Tea with poppers I have been wanting! 4 years ago tried Milk Fruit Boba tea on vacation but never found another place that made it similar around home. Just discovered this the other day! Staff were super helpful and answered all my questions. Mango milk boba tea was amazing. I would like to throw it out there and suggest for mango and strawberry flavors it would be cool if you could get tiny pieces of the fruit chopped up and mixed in with the poppers or boba. I can't wait to go back and try the pastries! Had a large beautiful selection of many tasty goodies. Definitely going to be a repeat customer for the milk boba tea. Conveniently located very close to the parking garage at 40 Coxe.”
“Our server Rachel was the whole experience. Chef was accommodating with our requests. When restaurant fill-up and by that I mean 9 tables, the noise level was higher. All in all great experience.”
“Red Ginger is my favorite place to eat anywhere! Their Szechuan Wontons are out of this world! I've eaten here dozens of times and every time I leave happy. They put so much effort into the flavor profiles and plating of every dish. Their beautiful dining room to relax while eating a delicious meal and the service is always great.”
“Huge fan of this place! Great mezcal selection, friendly service, and good prices. It is a very small space, so be aware of that if you're coming in with a group. Big fan of the El Tamarindo in particular.”
“Pizza Mind is a fantastic neighborhood pizza place! We loved the crust, sauce and cheese blend, and the toppings were really high quality. There was a large selection of beers & ciders, and the decor is super fun. If you're in Ashville, you can't go wrong with this place!”
“I'm biased cause I have family who work for this rest group, but this place is amazing. Sooo happy I can now get my okra fries fix without going downtown. The desi salad is fabulous, too.”
“A west Asheville treasure! The sweet potato cauliflower soup was smooth as silk and full of flavor! The confit mushrooms were outstanding and locally sourced! The trout was perfect! I highly recommend trying Jargon.”
“I really wish that I could give Tall John's more than 5 stars because it's perfect. The menu is American classics done with skill and attention to detail. We've been twice in one week and every single dish is delicious. The tartare comes with crackers that have been lovingly fried and aren't the least big greasy as well as a whole pile of fresh soft herbs and the pan sauce from the roast chicken is good enough to drink. We are extremely particular about cocktails and these have clearly been meticulously fine tuned. They come ice cold in chilled glasses and it is deeply satisfying. I think you can always tell when staff like working at a restaurant and the staff seems relaxed and happy. Service is just as good as the food. I described a salad I'd seen someone eating on a previous visit to our server and he said he was pretty sure it was the "very good green salad." After he brought it and I'd had some he said "is that the salad you dreamed of?" We wish service would be like this everywhere and all these details will keep us coming back again and again.”
“Had an excellent experience booking the food truck to come to our office - they were super easy to work with, communicative, early, and the food was amazing! This was a great and cost effective way to feed a bunch of our staff.”
“My delightful visit to The Lobster Trap in October 2014 left me with a taste of the ocean and a dash of excitement. As a devoted seafood enthusiast, I was eager to sample their offerings. Here’s my refreshed take:Food: The dishes were an absolute feast for the senses. From succulent lobster to perfectly prepared clams, each bite transported me to coastal bliss.Beer Selection: While the beer selection didn’t quite match the excellence of the seafood, it was like a refreshing sea breeze on a warm day. Perhaps an expanded variety would elevate the overall experience even further.Pricing: Yes, the bill left me raising an eyebrow, but let’s focus on the positives. The quality of the food justified some of the cost, and the ambiance made it a memorable evening. In summary, my experience at The Lobster Trap was a harmonious blend of delight and anticipation. If you’re a seafood lover, this spot is a must-visit. Just be prepared to savor every moment—and maybe splurge a little.”
“I went there for the Party Foul Drag Show. And let me tell you, I had a blast! I had never been to a show before so I had no idea what to expect. I figured that I spent $10 on my ticket, so if I didn’t like it I didn’t waste a lot of money. It was well worth the $10 I spent on the ticket. The Queens were so entertaining. My favorites of the night were Miss No Vagina and Miss Calcutta. Miss Ida Carolina was co-host for the evening and she was really entertaining as well. She asked if we were celebrating any birthdays, anniversaries, etc. 3 of us were celebrating our birthdays. Miss Ida Carolina asked the audience to say something to each of us. One was “Happy Lobotomy” Another was “Happy Vasectomy” And for me they said “Happy Honda Days”Bottom line is if you’re looking for something entertaining and cheap to do while in Asheville on a Saturday night, I highly recommend checking out the drag show at The Odd. Take an open mind and $1 bills for the performers.”
“This afternoon my husband and I enjoyed the most delicious pizza we have had in Asheville! Today at New Belgium brewery we had a half pepperoni/hot honey and the other half red onions and mushrooms. The crust was thin and perfect to both our tastes. Thank you Tin Can pizzeria!”
“One of my favorite brunch spots. I love the eclectic funky decor. I usually get the Opa Platter with Spanakopita and Greek Salad. I also like the Breakfast Burrito and the Hash. They have really good Bloody Mary’s and Mimosa's as well. There is over flow parking in a lot next to the Restaurant. The food and service is consistently above par.”
“First and foremost, what a great location. Tucked away on wall st, it’s cute and tucked away. Matthew was our server today and he knocked it out of the park! Came in celebrating our anniversary and we were delighted to be welcomed in with a fresh glass of champagne.Did the family style serving at $75/pp, thought it was well worth it. You get every antipasto, a choice of pasta and a meat entry. The herb salad blew me away. Pasta was covered in a delicious blanket of Parmesan cheese and shaved black truffle. It was devine. We were too full for desert but they packaged it up for us and gave it to go. I have to give emphasis to how incredible Matthew was, he was attentive, kind and understands hospitality to its fullest. Will most certainly be visiting on my next trip back to Asheville”
“The only restaurant worth going to in Weaverville! (Seriously, I've tried all the other places. This is the place.) Food is delicious, the monthly weekend brunch menus are *off the chain*. Breakfast and lunch that won't break your bank. Awesome cheap breakfast sammies and they have the best biscuits and gravy. Staff are rad, plenty of outdoor seating, great coffee, smoothies, drinks and baked goods. Something for everyone even if you have dietary restrictions. You cannot go wrong with this place. I'll be a regular as long as I'm in the area. ❤️Dietary restrictions: Non dairy options, vegetarian options, GF options”
“Everytime I think of this place, I want to go back for more. It's a little busy sometimes, but never unreasonably and the staff has always been friendly. Obviously because the food is so delicious everyone keeps coming back. Their chicken sandwiches are top tier and I'm especially addicted to their sauces!”
“Interesting little spot in West Asheville. Smash burgers and fires were hot of the grill and very filling.Josh was both bartender and waiter but was very attentive.Parking: The parking lot is small, so we can see having to find a spot up the street and walk down.”
“Love this place! I swing by almost every day on my way to work! I’m a huge fan of the cinnamon honey add vanilla latte! Every person I have met who works here has been so kind and friendly. Jason, thank you for starting my day with a smile and wonderful pick me ups!!”
“Great birria and shrimp tacos. The salsa bar is also excellent, with spicy options and a sweet sauce that I loved. Looking forward to my next visit.Edit: The lengua tacos are some of the best I've had and my current favorite.”
“We showed up about 10 minutes to close tonight and were greeted with smiles , amazing staff and great little store with all of the neat local artisan bread, honey and interesting sodas . We will definitely be back and absolutely loved finding this little gem! If you haven’t had the tomato basil soup you have not lived! The food was so delicious too!!! Five stars but if I could rate 10 I would!”
