Our server Rachel was the whole experience. Chef was accommodating with our requests. When restaurant fill-up and by that I mean 9 tables, the noise level was higher. All in all great experience.
Great restaurant in an unassuming location, but the Asheville Proper owners knock it out of the park with this North Asheville eatery. A simple menu, but each dish is curated beautifully. Beets and goat cheese crema salad, fried oysters, 8 oz steak cooked perfect med rare, duck breast likewise. Whatever lemon cake with bourbon apples was called is a revelation. Good restaurant, atmosphere was nice and very easy to park. I'd stick to the small plates if I went back, nice to share with others and you get a good sampling of what they have to offer. The cocktails were good and the food was pretty well prepared. Ingredient quality seemed to be so-so, but that's been the case with a lot of restaurants in Asheville lately. Not top-notch, but not bad either.
