We had never considered Little Ds even though we live near by. A friend took us last night, it is now our go to. We all had the rib eye, cooked as requested, Abigail our server, took excellent care of us without hovering. We were not pressured to leave , great since it was a reunion of sorts. The decor is lovely. Who is the decorator? I am over the moon with this place.

We have waited a long time to try Little D though it’s in our neighborhood and we shop at Fresh Market several times a week. Till we came across Little D at Heritage Fire last year and had a chance to experience its food, we knew little about the place. It is a nice and unique little place in the hood with creative food and charming decor. Place is small so reservations highly recommended. It was a busy night and diners look sophisticated. Our server was friendly though a tad over the top and not so authentic for a sophisticated place. It was super noisy and our aged neighbors had a hard time hearing. Food was beautifully and creatively presented. Shareable were small portions and fairly pricey if a group were to order many to share. Food was good but not a wow and totally over salted We had requested low salt due to a dietary need for our aged neighbors and our food came loaded with salt! I hope Little D chefs pay attention to this as I saw that others have mentioned this too in their reviews. We are sitting on the fence on Little D at the moment. We feel it deserves another visit. We are not getting a clear idea its positioning yet and we hope it finds its groove. It can really be a nice go to place for a nice dinner in the neighborhood.

Absolutely incredible. We live close to this place and finally tried it and we were blown away! The flavors and textures were spot on. Great cocktails. Lovely vibe. So grateful to have a restaurant of this quality in our neighborhood.

Good restaurant, atmosphere was nice and very easy to park. I'd stick to the small plates if I went back, nice to share with others and you get a good sampling of what they have to offer. The cocktails were good and the food was pretty well prepared. Ingredient quality seemed to be so-so, but that's been the case with a lot of restaurants in Asheville lately. Not top-notch, but not bad either.

Our server Rachel was the whole experience. Chef was accommodating with our requests. When restaurant fill-up and by that I mean 9 tables, the noise level was higher. All in all great experience.

I think the chef is doing too much. All the dishes are just a tad off. I went to a spot afterwards and the bartender said many folks come in and say the same thing. I wanted to like it, but the dishes continued to disappoint.

Great restaurant in an unassuming location, but the Asheville Proper owners knock it out of the park with this North Asheville eatery. A simple menu, but each dish is curated beautifully. Beets and goat cheese crema salad, fried oysters, 8 oz steak cooked perfect med rare, duck breast likewise. Whatever lemon cake with bourbon apples was called is a revelation. Wish more AVL restaurants served espresso based coffees, though. Service attentive and cooperative with each other. You're on my list.

Since I as on my own, I sat at the bar. The bartender was lovely and very attentive. He helped with the wine (an Italian Pinot Grigio I wouldn't have again), and also helped me decide between tempting dishes. Everything about the scallop dish was marvelous and I enjoyed the sun chokes immensely but they were a little too much of the same thing not to be shared. Am looking forward to next time!

Absolutely delicious! The flavors of each dish were creative, perfectly paired and so tasty! You can definitely feel the intentionality of menu. The service was incredibly friendly and upbeat as well! Great energy and great food.

Everything was perfectly perfect. We had cocktails, shareables, entrees and dessert. Pleased with every sip and bite. The dark chocolate tart was sensational! Server was well informed about menu items, pleasant and timed food delivery very well! Gotta love Little Ds!

Great food! The prices were fair and portions were definitely shareable. We had four in our party and we ordered four appetizers and two entrees and there was plenty to go around. We each had two drinks and the bill was under 300. We will definitely go back!

First time eating at the restaurant. Service, including knowledgeable waiter, and food was very good, and we certainly plan on dining at Little D's in the future. The only negative was the noise level which should be addressed to allow for better one-on-one conversations, especially if we were to take another couple to enjoy the restaurant.
