“Good restaurant, atmosphere was nice and very easy to park. I'd stick to the small plates if I went back, nice to share with others and you get a good sampling of what they have to offer. The cocktails were good and the food was pretty well prepared. Ingredient quality seemed to be so-so, but that's been the case with a lot of restaurants in Asheville lately. Not top-notch, but not bad either.“
“What an adorable hidden gem tucked off the street. Outdoor setting is dog friendly. Pups even got a treat. Owner is delightful. I had homemade vegetable beef soup and some mixed greens with a vinaigrette. My husband had a tuna melt sandwich. Highly recommend“
“This place makes an excellent martini (with blue cheese olives). It's a cool environment, somewhat crowded, but the busy-ness adds to the appeal. I think they shine more in cocktails than in food. The burger is made with American cheese, to its detriment. Burrata was good, and the table tried some small Spanish-style fish. We had another OK pasta dish as well. Less likely to return for a meal but happy to come for drinks + apps.“
“Walked in to hear some live music on a brief visit and snagged seats at the bar right before the band started. They were great (The John Henrys) as were the wine and beer. The vibe in this place is very comfortable and it’s easy to lose track of time in such an inviting space.“
“Such a fan of Botanist and Barrel’s ciders and wines. I love that they are all natural and contain no weird additives. Extra brownie points since their organic ingredients are sourced locally from their farm or other local sources! Love the tasting rooms ambiance and chill vibes. Highly recommend!!“
“This place was absolutely amazing. Went here when I was in town visiting family, and now I literally dream about the Pimpin' fried chicken sandwhich! Will definitely be going back everytime I'm in Ashville. Highest quality ingredients, friendly service, clean facility. I do however wish there was more seating options as this place definitely seems to always be packed.“
“We had such a great time! We were in town to see Biltmore and hike the Pisgah Forest and were looking for some live music. We started at the guitar bar at the other end of the building, but it was way too crowded and not what we were looking for. We heard the music from this place and wandered in. The band Binz was amazing and so much fun, the place is fun and funky and cozy with lots of art on the walls, and everybody was really friendly. And a guy came in with three big dogs that went around and said hi to everybody! The only thing is, we almost missed it because it was not on any of my Google searches!“
“A stop at Walls Wine Bar while in downtown Asheville is a must! You can enjoy a taste, a glass or a bottle of some exceptional international wines. Walk through the gallery to take in the amazing photography of Benjamin Walls on safari or step outside and relax in the open air patio while people watching. While you are there, learn about once in a lifetime travel opportunities; the stuff dreams are made of!“
“This is the spot to go to when in Asheville or as a local looking for a restaurant who still prioritizes the ambiance and unmatched quality of food. Steph, Ralph and Tony are owners who care and love what they do. Easily my favorite spot to eat in Asheville. Not a bad choice on the menu. Ralph’s knowledge on wine is unreal and def worth listening to for pairing.“
“We have picked up food in the past from Vinnies. This time we dined in and we were thrilled with the food and service. We ordered the baked ziti and spaghetti with clams. Both were delicious. The waitress, who was wonderful, recommended the wedding cake (vanilla and coconut). Also delicious. What topped off our evening was that we’re able to bring our dog since their patio is dog friendly. We will definitely come back.“
“Wonderful experience here recently with my wife for dinner. The server made superb wine suggestions, plus she was completely attentive to dietary restrictions with regard to menu items & their ingredients. She checked things with the chef for details & worked with us successfully for helpful tweaks for items where possible, while being clear which items could not be adjusted. The menu items were all delicious & we took several items home, enjoying them later.“
“Awesome little corner bar facing the Woolworth building downtown. Great to watch the various Asheville citizenry from an open air window overlooking the street. Very small establishment but nice and chill. Beautiful bar and wooden bar tables. Best thing is the beer selection is spot on. I was planning to do an afternoon pub crawl but I mostly hung out here to drink. They also do some really great smelling coffee too for any friend of bill w out there still into the casual bar scene!“
“Gorgeous space with attentive and knowledgeable servers. One of my favorite places in Asheville to lounge and savor some delicious (albeit somewhat pricey) treats. The chicken liver mousse was a particular standout and so was the Albariño and the Nero d’Avola!“
“We LOVED our experience at the Golden Pineapple! It was our first time there, we've heard a little about it. The drink menu is very fun and has something for everyone. Non alcoholic and alcoholic options. We both had the Bodega sandwich and it was one of the best sandwiches we both have ever had! Everything about the sandwich was incredible and the side salad was so delicious! The atmosphere was nothing short of pleasant. Fantastic place. We will definitely be coming back.P and J“
“Wonderful evening last week celebrating France's Bastille Day! Uncle Thom and I have been to a few different wine tastings, but this one was different. This was more of an educational experience, all about wines from France. We learned a lot about the regions of France and how the differing regions effect the grapes. The grapes in warmer regions will be sweeter due to the sugar content. Also, our group was lucky enough to be able to sample about 10 different wines!French music playing in the background, wonderful hors d'oeuvres for nibbling, and a great group of people attending. Such a fun evening!“
“Ben is such a delightful human. He is an asset to the establishment and makes you feel instantly welcomed and appreciated. Ben's competence and attitude is such a breath of Asheville mountain fresh air. If you are lucky enough to be there when he is on the waitstaff, you will have a delightful time.“
“Do not pass this place by- the prices are great, the staff are friendly and the location is KILLER. This is a great place to stop in, have some quality beverages and some apps before dinner for a fair price in Asheville. We stopped in one night waiting for a table at a local restaurant and spent a lot of time having drinks and couldn't be happier. The store connected to this place is winehaus. Great place for a happy hour in Ash.“
“We stopped in here to have a glass of wine before dinner because it was right next to our hotel. We ended up staying much longer because we were having such a great time! The atmosphere is top notch and so is the entire establishment. They have a fantastic selection of wines, great decor, and a great patio. We also got the opportunity to speak to the owners, and they were genuinely kind and great people! Bottle Riot is also dog friendly which is always a plus. Any time we’re back in Asheville we will make a point to stop here again to support a great local business!“
“This is a very unassuming, casual place. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. I had the Blue Plate Special (a chicken sammy with fries) and a Diet Coke. My wife ordered the pot pie with a locally produced Devil's Foot ginger beer. Our meals were both delicious and the portions were very ample. The service was good and all of the staff was friendly and helpful.“
“Very very good coffee. Got a latte and honey rose latte, both great.Pros: Espresso was fantastic, as well as the flavor offerings. House made syrups a plus. Wish they had a couple more, but the ones they have are great. They weigh their shots and are well trained. Great art on the latte. Vibe inside is clean, nice place to do some work and hangout. It's posh. Good service. Great amount of seating inside. They sell coffee brewing equipment and coffee beans to take home. Also, the cups they use for take-out are great quality.Cons: Not necessarily family friendly as it is very much white and black inside, very calm. Not a bad thing thats just their style. There is parking but can get crowded and limited as its on a street corner on a hill. Near Pie-zaa and other places, it can get busy around there.“
“The Bar service and food are outstanding. The grilled romaine salad, fennel cream soup, confit smashed potatoes, and a small plate of meatballs were enough to satisfy our appetite, as well as ensure this is a definite stop when we're in Asheville. Thank you Zoe for a wonderful experience.“
“Fun place to visit. Great views from the rooftop, some outside seating although there may be some reservations needed for certain sections. The staff was super friendly and very helpful in making suggestions and getting drinks served quickly.“
“My husband and I had a great first experience at Thai Kitchen. We ordered the dumplings and spring rolls first and the sauces were delicious paired with each app. My Panang curry dish was AMAZING. So creamy and the veggies were so yummy. Carrots cut into cute shapes and green beans and zucchini. The service was also excellent. Will definitely be going back.“
“Food was good service was good. The reasons behind the 4 star is this place is tiny. Asheville is busy so parking and walking is tough for us old people. Lol. There is parking across the street at the Asheville hotel. Paid parking of course but you might get lucky on the street. If you like Thai it is a cozy little place with good food.Wheelchair accessibility: Drop out on the street and park.“
“Had been waiting to try Curate and since we decided to celebrate our rehearsal dinner here later this year. Our server Angelica was so lovely and we really enjoyed everything. It is very thoughtfully done and flavors are wonderful. The pulpo was melt in your mouth! The manager was kind enough to bring us a dessert since it was our first time dining and it was also amazing. Can’t wait to bring family back in October.“
