One night at Grove Park Inn... Short two hour drive from Charlotte to recharge at thiss iconic resort. Familiar face of the valets as you enter down the long driveway to this landmark property circa 1913. We returned to a fantastic room on the concierge floor, stunning views, immpecable service and standout food and beverage options in the evening and morning. The food was simple but good. Strangely, the hotel forced us to pay for parking even though we were just having breakfast. The extra $35 for parking doubled the cost of breakfast. It was not close to worth that. Seems like a terrible plan if they want people to use the restaurants
