“The lady was awesome that helped us!! The sauce on the hibachi had great flavor and portions were good also. Steak was cooked perfectly! We got a fried shrimp appetizer (cannot remember the name) but similar to bang bang shrimp..10/10 awesome!!! We will be back when visiting chimney rock.“
“Chicago LOVES Sarah!!! Our group of out-of-towners came in on Saturday after a wine tour and Sarah was agile, knowledgeable, and really created an enjoyable atmosphere. All around the best server you could ask for! The food was impeccable; we ordered tapas ordered 10 tapas and 6 ramen dishes. The tapas came out in a perfect cadence and we didn’t feel rushed at all. Everything tasted fresh and was presented beautifully despite how busy they were.“
“I stop here every time I am in the area and this place is amazing. This time was by far my favorite. The service is always incredible and they have a dog friendly patio! I brought my pup and they were very sweet and even brought him a bowl of water while we dined. My friend got the chicken hibachi with a customized roll and I got the lunch chicken teriyaki with a spicy salmon roll (recommended) - 10/10!“
“I am so glad we found this little place! My fiance and I live in Delaware, but we are moving to Asheville in July. We visited the city last week, and I was recommend this restaurant from the Facebook group, Asheville Foodies. Everything was fantastic. The service was great, atmosphere was awesome, and the food was amazing. My fiance and I eat Japanese ramen every Friday night as a tradition from our favorite ramen place in Delaware. So we wanted to establish a new Friday night ramen spot for when we move. And I think we found it! Such a little gem.“
“Super fresh and affordable. Environment is brite, clean and quiet. Perfect for those with hearing or sight issues. Not super romantic but neither is asking your date to read your menu or rpeat themselves. Also the staff is really nice and clearly take pride in their work.“
“I just went here for a birthday party the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a good time! They dimmed the lights so we could light birthday candles! And the manager asked us how we liked it. Super fun experience and the sushi was really good!“
“Let me preface with: the sushi here is great, for lunchI'm honestly a bit upset, tonight my roll I got was TINY. I get food here often and usually is fair priced. $7.50 for this roll :(. The hand roll looks giant compared ?. I usually get the lunch special rolls“
“This was our time eating here and our server Caroline was very nice and on top of it, the food was very good. The dark silent atmosphere is very off putting. There were 2 other servers there who seemed very nice but the older asian woman(I think I heard someone call her amy) kept giving me rude looks and bumping into my chair and everytime she walked by she was mumbling vulgar slurs assumingely towards her customers under her breath and just seemed to have an all around negative attitude“
“I’ve been going here since I first moved to WNC over 20 years ago and it has to be the most consistent restaurant in town. The food has stayed the same portions, the service is fast and friendly, and the atmosphere is very “refurb fast food casual”. All things I come to expect from an excellent Japanese Restaurant. All the other Japanese places in town are much more expensive and serve smaller portions than Asaka. To get your money’s worth of great prices, good quality, and fast Asian in Biltmore Village, look no further than Asaka!“
“A very nice sushi restaurant with a wide selection of rolls in downtown Asheville. The restaurant was very atmospheric with authentic sushi. Hibachi is on the menu for those who are also looking for something else, although I was not able to try it as I had sushi. We happened to go after lunch rush so there weren’t too many tables to wait on and as a result service was excellent and prompt. The sushi has great portions which justifies the price you would pay for it.“
“Three of us had perfect meals, drinks and an appetizer. The sake and mixed drink menus were great, and the food menu was more Japanese than I knew what to do with and I still found multiple items to choose from. Service and vibe inside were good, too. The Tempura Banana dessert straight up burnt me even after waiting a couple minutes, served way too hot. Everything else was perfect.“
“The flavors of their food never disappoints. Panda Express is right next to this place but theirs is always better and the food is made fresh.I get a chicken teriyaki combo with double meat for around $11. And the portions are huge ! Always some left over.“
“I really enjoyed taking my husband here for his birthday. We had reservations for a hibachi table and were seated with another birthday party. I enjoyed chicken & shrimp, while my husband ordered the Imperial Filet Mignon, which also comes with shrimp & chicken. I must say that the Imperial does not increase your portion size. That said, I am grateful to report that even in a post-Covid inflationary world the prices at this restaurant are still reasonable. Staff were very friendly & the food and show were top notch. My only complaint is that we had reservations & still waited over 15 minutes in very tight quarters in the bar area.“
“New favorite Chinese Buffet. Dined on a Saturday night and had a great selection of food that was all rather surprisingly tasty for a buffet. Everything from fried crabs and boiled crawfish and prawns to the norms to honey glazed ham. Didn't try the hibachi bar or a lot of the items for dietary restrictions but they had plenty of meats to get my full of $20.“
“Ukiah was a great dining experience and very unique. With strong Japanese and other asian influences it took the smokehouse to a new level. We had the premium tasting menu which was a great way to sample the menu... highlights were all the raw bar items, the sea-bass, corned beef and bok choy ... everything was interesting and tasty.“
