We loved everything. Stopped in the other day after checking out the menu posted by the door. Subtle delicious flavors, exactly what Japanese food should be! The homemade pickles were outstanding - eggplant, radish, carrot. The ginger honey tea was so light but with perfectly balanced flavor. Our sushi and sashimi as well as the cold noodle dish were some of the best food we've had in Asheville anywhere. Just loved the experience.
Heiwa Shokudo is a wonderful spot for Japanese food in Asheville! The food is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared, with authentic Japanese flavors in every bite. Everything we tried was delicious, and the quality of the ingredients really stood out. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed, making it a great place to enjoy a meal. Small quaint sushi bar with cute outdoor patio. Was buzzing with locals, because you could here the 'nice to see you again' and the friendliness among the servers and guests. The food was not only at a perfect price point but it was so delicious! The teriyaki Duck was cooked perfectly.
