Village Social provides a warm and welcoming dining experience with friendly service and delicious food. Guests can enjoy a variety of dishes, including estate sourced cheese plate, fried green tomatoes, she-crab soup, and simple bean soup. The meatloaf is a standout, and the cornbread with honey is a popular starter, often praised as wonderful. The pot roast comes highly recommended, with gravy/au jus that is to die for and meat that falls apart easily. The chicken dish with green pea rice side is also a favorite, offering more than enough for a take-home lunch. Recent reviews highlight the crab cake appetizer as the best ever and mention that the pot roast reminds guests of grandma’s cooking. Service, especially by a server named Hayley, is described as genuinely terrific and fantastic.
While the menu may be a little limited, the food remains good, and the restaurant has been praised for its great food choices. Staff are helpful and friendly, sharing recommendations and information about coffee bar options included in hotel packages. The remodeled restaurant looks amazing and features subtle but great changes that guests appreciate. Even on crowded nights, Village Social maintains a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring a great meal every time. Visitors enjoy breakfast options like biscuits with crispy home fries, omelets, and pancakes, which look amazing and provide options for future visits. The restaurant also offers gluten-free options such as squash appetizer, cornbread appetizer, beef and potato soup, and she-crab soup, all praised as top notch. Main dishes like pork chop, shrimp and grits, meatloaf, and trout are considered terrific. Many guests enjoy the connection to Biltmore and express their love for both the location and Village Social. The friendly and attentive staff, including servers Daniel and AJ, make every visit special, making guests eager to return.
