One of the most HORRID experiences at a restaurant I have had. We ordered food to go and we're told it would be a 15 minute wait, we have ordered from there before and it was always quick. We get there, my husband goes in and he's in there a while before coming out saying it would be a few more minutes. He goes back in 3 or 4 more times and at this point was told BY THE OWNER "I don't know what's going on, we don't know where your food is". We have been there over an hour at this point and I am PISSED. So I go in and I promise it's not pretty, after causing a scene, the owner still proceeds to say she "doesn't know" after my husband comes in to get me and we leave they are conveniently saying "oh we have your food right here". Yeah im sure you and your staff have spit in it and did god knows what else to that food.
This is UNACCEPTABLE as an OWNER to tell someone who has waited for over an hour for to go food that you simply do not know what's going on, you are an owner you need to act like one.
By the way does everyone know that any tips left go straight to the owners, staff DO NOT get any tips left to them, we have been told this by MULTIPLE workers.

Horrible experience tonight. We order from this place all the time. Their usual response is it will be ready in 15 minutes. Well 15 minutes tonight turned into 1 hour and a half and the manager kept saying “ I don’t know what’s going on “ to my daughter and son in law. I called. The manager told me “ I’m having a horrible time with my kitchen staff I have no idea where your food is or when it will be ready “ we had a 3 year old screaming for pizza and I had just worked a 12 hour shift as a nurse. The owner per my daughter just stood there and said nothing. Do better. We won’t be back.
Ordered the steak and cheese sub with chips to go. The sub was a good size and quality but they gave us a bag of lays chips as our side. The main location on hendersonville road always makes their chips in house. Don't know why this one doesn't.
Apollo is just a great Greek dining experience. The food is always fresh, there's great portions and the service is typically terrific. They have a wonderful selection of desserts as well. I often find my wife and I will make excuses to drive out in that direction just to eat there.
Vegetarian options: It's Greek food, so expect a fair amount of lamb and chicken

Went for a late lunch on a Saturday, seated quickly, and served just as fast. Barely finished our salads when the main courses were already being brought to the table. In all, in and out, in about 35 minutes.
Food was good. Staff friendly. No wonder this is a popular place.

We have the pleasure of eating out often and I must say this has been the worst Lamb Euro and pasta salad I’ve had in my life! If I could leave the food 0 stars I would. Pass by this place if you like good Mediterranean food.

The food was so salty, I couldn't eat it. I ordered the Philly without a bun. Staff was an upside. Very polite.

I have been ordering the grilled chicken Greek salad from the hendersonville rd location for 20 years and have never once been disappointed. I decided to order from the brevard rd location today because I was on that side of town. I was extremely disappointed with my order. Not only was I was charged more but there was about half the amount of chicken on my salad, the salad was not as fresh, the lady who waited on me was not friendly at all and there were no crackers with my salad. The wonderful staff at the Hendersonville Rd location were always friendly and generous with the amount of chicken and crackers they provided with my order. Do these locations have separate owners?

Restaurantji Recommends
Beautiful restaurant, only very rarely do I give 5 stars and this place just missed out because yes they have attractive waiters, they are young and don’t know the restaurant business yet. Besides that the food was excellent and the atmosphere made me feel like I was in Italy. Prices were good for a sit down and we enjoyed our date night!.

I was visiting from out of town and stopped in by recommendation of the hotel. I ordered the lasagna and although tasty, it was delivered in a puddle of Greece. Everything was okay but I just can't get the taste of grease out of my mouth.

I don’t understand the hype. First off the food was super mid.
Greek food? Where’s the bronzini, octopus, moussaka, or anything Greek? The only Greek thing they had was a gyro which I ordered and the meat wasn’t off a spit, just the sliced processed stuff.
Pasta seemed to be their specialty but their pasta sauce was also super generic like out of a college dorm all you can eat buffet. Pizza though we didn’t try looked bready and awful.
This place is designed for ‘muricans who want huge portions of very regular food.

Interesting place that was just fine but not anything more. The food was just meh. They serve a lot of it and the prices were decent but it is mostly prepackaged heat and serve type food. I had the sampler (I don't remember the name of the dish), it had meatballs, gyro meat & chicken. The chicken was good and seemed made in store. It was flavorful and juicy. The meatballs & gyro meat was packaged and felt like was heated in the microwave. The salads were fresh and the dressings we good. We had a pasta dish (don't remember the name), but was forgettable. It was literally rigatoni, chicken, cheese that was not melted, garlic and a ton of oil. The pizza looked decent so maybe that's worth going for.
