I like the little padded cells. And the coffee.Nice book selection, too, I suppose. Good student resources, like the career center and writing center. I frequently see advertising for all the things you lend out and it's wild and super cool. Also, everyone is sleeping on all the cool stuff you've got going on downstairs. I love my cheap large scale prints!Advice: more tables facing windows, please (the good and pretty much only one is always taken) and don't get rid of the film scanner!!!

This used to be a great community resource. I was a “community borrower” and would come here to scan the TOCs of journals in Current Periodical section, read what interested me, and keep up. Or if I needed research on a specific topic I could use one of the computers and look into a huge variety of online journals and print articles for copy charges. It’s all changed now, don’t know when it happened I let my card lapse a few years ago.Recently, however, I re-upped my membership and the first thing I noticed is there is no longer a Current periodical section. So I went to the over to the row of computers to look online and found you need a student/faculty staff ID to go online. I asked the student behind the circulation desk what happened and she directed me to the Community Borrower computers. When I logged on there I discovered you had access only to what anybody could see from outside the U, which meant none of the journals. So I headed downstairs to look through the stacks and found about 90% of bound journals were gone. Even the book collection seemex to have been decimated.UNCA Ramsey library is no longer a library for those interested in finding out about things, unless you are among the cloistered elite. Ben Franklin would be ashamed and embarrassed.

This is an absolutely wonderful library! They have a huge selection of every topic you can think of, as well as the latest editions if many awesome and specialty magazines. Thus is far and away the best deal in town for making copies as well at only 5 cents each! They have 3 floors with multiple study rooms and areas, and there is a coffee shop upfront to keep you going, and many dvds for rent as well.

Needs to be renovated. Outdated style with old, decrepit chairs and uncomfortable tables with creaky sitting. The whir of the building itself is an annoyance. Minimal natural light and unfortunate restrooms. One of the poorer buildings of UNCA, which is sad considering it's the library. A majority of the staff is unwelcoming; been that way since I've been a student here. Now that Argo is gone, what really is the point?

Be aware of where you park. There are parking tickets you can get from the campus police and they will not give you any grace. The tickets are the worst. ask the campus police about parking or you will beyond a doubt get a ticket.

I love studying in Ramsey library. All the staff is friendly and always ready to help. On the main floor, students can be chatty but there are plenty quite places upstairs and downstairs in the library where you can concentrate.
Best place for me, when I need total concentration without distraction. I appreciate our cultures library atmosphere.

Ridiculously limited hours, especially for a university library (most are 24hrs, and here they close early on the weekend as if people don't need access on a Friday or Saturday night), and not enough quiet study areas. It's one of my biggest complaints about this school.
