My wife and I were traveling through Ashville on a business trip to Charlotte. We planned an evening of food, drinks, and music in the Riverside Drive Art District. Guajiro Cuban Comfort Food and The Guitar Bar were near our overnight arrangements, so we parked our Van responsibly (we are over size so we always try to find a place to back in thus not blocking the through traffic and only taking up one parking space) and headed to Guajiro's for what ended up being great service...
First-timer, really enjoyed it! I showed up on a Sunday and was surprised to be greeted with their free potluck. The music is AWESOME! A local told me "The guy with the straw hat is the owner", but there were 2 wearing straw hats, so I don't know, but it doesn't matter because EVERYONE was so friendly and welcoming!

You've got to visit Asheville Guitar Bar. You're going to have a great experience! Visit anytime, but definitely try a Friday night with "Mr. Jimmy's Friday night Blues"
