Ava's Donuts is a small, family-owned restaurant known for its delicious donuts. A patient brought two dozen donuts from this place when the staff was understaffed, and they were a big hit. The donuts are not greasy and stiff, and the chocolate covered pudding filled one is particularly delicious. The restaurant offers glazed fruit-filled donuts that they fill right there, and the apple fritters, old fashion/sour cream donuts, and pinecones are the best the reviewers have ever had. The service is excellent, and the restaurant seems to be female-run. Although it is a bit pricey, customers believe it is worth every penny. Ava's Donuts is located in NC, and it is a great alternative to the corporate frozen donut places.
