Ava's Donuts Reviews
Their homemade donuts are so good, 10/10!
Recently visited Asheville and happened upon Avas. I tried the sour cream donut and the apple fritter. As good as I have ever tasted and I've had more than my share of donuts. The only downside is that I'm now back home and Avas is hundreds of miles from home. oh well
Always delicious and fresh! I will say the earlier you go, the more options - they go fast! Apple fritters, cinnamon sugar, and the lemon and raspberry filled are my favorites! My husband loves the maple bacon, though I think the bacon could be crispier. The cereal topped ones don’t have a good crunch like I would expect either, I wonder if the warm icing makes them a bit soft? Regardless, they’re some of the better donuts you’ll find in Asheville!

Ava's Donuts is a small, family-owned restaurant known for its delicious donuts. The donuts are not greasy and stiff, and the chocolate covered pudding filled one is particularly delicious. The restaurant offers glazed fruit-filled donuts that they fill right there, and the apple fritters, old fashion/sour cream donuts, and pinecones are praised by customers as the best they have ever had. The yeast donuts are also praised for being fluffy and fresh, making them a favorite among customers. Although the old fashion donuts and fritters can be quite sugary due to the large amount of glaze, the service is excellent, with friendly and helpful employees. Customers believe it is worth every penny, as Ava's Donuts is seen as a great alternative to corporate frozen donut places and has become the only place some customers will go for donuts, as they have found them to be the best in the world.
