Waited a half hour for a fry and side of gluten free pita that turned out to not be gluten free, the pita was hot and fries were cold, staff was confused and lost order, restaurant could use a good cleaning, overall beyond disappointing

We ordered gluten free pitas, which were not gluten free. My friend was very sick for hours. Additionally, the menu stated outside the restaurant doesn't match the inside menu. Disappointing for sure

Food is great but the staff is a bit perturbed and short with people. Nevertheless, its a great spot for lunch.

Totally underrated spot in AVL. I think I sometimes forget about it myself! Beloved by locals.

Unfortunately Baba Naha has gone downhill. Their hummus bowls used to be packed with flavors but the one I had today was a wet sloppy mess without any flavor. The chicken shawarma added was more like slow cooker chicken again with any real flavor. Sorry to see this happening to what used to be a favorite.

I got the hummus bowl with chicken shawarma and it was bland and flavorless. The falafel we got as a side was good though.

Delicious Middle Eastern food! As an Arab I was reminded of my grandmas cooking. The falafel was incredible, hummus was delicious, and the grape leaves were perfectly rolled. Staff was super sweet, portions were very good, and the price was very affordable. Will definitely stop in every time I'm in Asheville.

The food was delicious, and the generous portions and low cost were shocking in the best of ways. I paid less for my falafel bowl than I did for a beignet at a nearby establishment. And in this economy, I will sing their praises for that.

Overall, the food was good, but the front of house service was rather unfriendly. Also, the restaurant was unclean. Someone wrote "dust me" with their finger in dust on one of the lamps. Would return for the food, but probably won't be a regular spot for us due to the service and cleanliness.

Not impressed. The service was okay but the food was lackluster. I wouldn’t eat here again. Edited to add: I had to throw the entire meal out - that’s how bad it was. The food is bland and the sauce pooled into a liquid at the bottom of the bowl. Demoting from two stars to one.

We went in on the 26th, so maybe it was because it was right after Christmas. But the food was so bland. The hummus was watery and had no flavor. The chicken schwarma was a little sweet but had very little flavor. Really disappointed overall. Worker was friendly and helpful though.
