To say that Bargello far exceeded my expectations tonight is an understatement. I’ve lived in Asheville for 3 years and have yet to have found a place I truly would say had amazing food- until I stumbled upon this gem. Often I am told about places to go and how amazing they are- do not miss out on this place it is all true! Chef Tyler is an artist his food is creative, delicious and full of flavor- Delvin and our waitress Rachel were an absolute delight as well. Will be returning here.

We walked into Bargello not knowing if we needed a reservation or would have to wait. We were seated immediately and enjoyed a great meal and atmosphere! The handmade pasta and pizza were delicious. Can’t wait to make reservation for next trip to Asheville.

Great experience from the hostess to the server. Delicious food that is made to order. The breakfast burrito and the Beca sandwich were amazing. You can't go wrong with an order of the French toast for the table.
The staff was amazing from the hostess to the waitress and everyone in between. The food was delicious featuring seasonally, appropriate dishes. It came out promptly and hot. Waitress was very attentive, but not overbearing. Overall great experience!
Kitchen was backed up, time between courses stretched to 1/2 hour. Service friendly and kind, not her fault the kitchen was in the weeds. Food was passable. Ordinary. The carrots oddly bitter. No extra gravy provided for the turkey, white meat barely escaped being dry. stuffing oddly crusty; suspect it sat too long under heat lamps. Mashed potatoes were a bit grainy, not creamy. Salad was nice.. pasta well- seasoned. Al dente , but needed more liquid because oddly dry. Dessert fine. And yes, I was a professional critic
We selected Bargello for our Thanksgiving dinner, knowing that they would be very busy. We reviewed the prix fixe menu prior to booking. It was a attractive offering of a modern interpretation of a traditional Thanksgiving meal. The 1st course was butternut squash hummus and a artichoke spinach dip and chips which was uninspired from our point of view - it looked better than it tasted. The second course consisted of an excellent and delicious creamy pasta dish and a seasonal salad. We enjoyed both but stopped eating to save room for the star of the show - the turkey. The turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green beans and carrots were presented in bowls which made the table feel a bit crowded. The roasted carrots, and the green beans were exceptional, the mashed potatoes were good but were not creamy likely from sitting a bit too long under a heat lamp. The turkey platter contained both white and dark meat along with soubise sauce. We only enjoy white meat so cannot comment on the dark meat. The turkey breast was presented generously sliced but arrived at the table a bit dry as with the mashed potatoes it sat too long. The soubise sauce didn't add anything and what would have compensated would have been a traditional turkey gravy. Overall we enjoyed the main course. The deconstructed pumpkin cheese cake with house made marshmallows, caramel sauce and brittle was heavenly, The pear and almond galette with vanilla ice cream was disappointing. We knew it would be a busy night and we suspect the kitchen was under staffed and the food was not at its best when it arrived. The volume of the music was so high that that it was difficult to have conversation. Nonetheless we have booked a table for XMAS day.
We had the most delicious Thanksgiving dinner. They even accommodated my gluten sensitivity. We had plenty of leftovers. It was both imaginative like sweet potato hummus dip and traditional like chive mashed potatoes and roasted turkey with gluten free gravy. We ordered a delicious bottle of sparkling rose. I love the modern mixed materials decor. The tables have plenty of room in between and yet we enjoyed speaking to the couple next to us. The service was on spot and very attentive.
It was a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner. Loved the variety and quality of each of the 4-courses. Also thank you to the staff who served us on their holiday. Would definitely come back next year.
We enjoyed an excellent dinner recently. Restaurant was very flexible with our dietary issues. Service left a lot to be desired, though, as our simple drink orders took nearly 30 minutes, without a clear explanation. We were also disappointed with the bread on the bread board, as it was was stale, and clearly “reheated. “

Nice restaurant..food was delicious. Our Server, Rachel was the best. Attentive to the table. If there was one thing that should change is this Italian Restaurant does not provide bread with the meal...you have to purchase it. Thought that was very strange especially for an Italian restaurant..all in all I would recommend the restaurant

Food here is amazing! I have no idea why they don’t get as much press as some of our other restaurants. It’s our only upscale Mediterranean spot and would be the best if there were 100 others. Quality, selection, portions, service, amazing bar. Such a good dining option!

This is long overdue review of our fantastic experience at Bargello. In the beginning of October, my gf and I made a 7:15pm reservation for my birthday. We are so glad we did. Tiffany and Kyle (Beverage Director) were amazing and so personable. We ended up staying until closing time enjoying the amazing food (Mussels, Prime Short Rib, dessert platter) and conversation. We will no doubt be back and will remember this restaurant for years to come.
Thank you for your time and connection,
-Ryan and Marie
