The coffee was so good we went back the very next day. Unfortunately, the service the second day needed work. My wife ordered two coffees, one of them frozen. The barista brings them to her and there's frozen coffee all over the top and sides of the cup, then it goes all over the table. She literally says to her "you're gonna have to wipe this off" and walks off. I can get a good cup of coffee anywhere in this city. Service means more.

What an amazing coffee shop, the vibe is laid back, the art work is so good, the coffee is like nothing I've ever had being so smooth and full of body, and not to forget the staff they were perfect for the speed attitude, and Customer service. Highly recommend getting drinks from emily!

So I didn’t give them 4 stars because….. when I go to a coffee shop, I want friendly and extraordinary service. The girl taking our order wasn’t the outgoing, talk to us kind of person we like in a coffee shop… the atmosphere was very cool, very creepy cool art, we bought a magnet to support the artist! Also the coffee was just okay, it was little more sour of an espresso base than I’d like, over all not too bad though!

Good vibes here! A great place to study or chat with a friend in East Asheville. This may seem like something minor, but this cafe smells so clean. Other cafes, I come out of and I smell like an old bagel. Not this one! I love the art and the staff are very friendly.

Great mochas and lattes. Their coffee has a unique flavor, which I really enjoyed. They played good music too. The space has a bit of a weird layout, but it is well decorated.
Edit: I’ve never had an interview with this person? I was just a customer who witnessed the owner yell at her workers on multiple occasions during opening hours in front of other patrons and it was horrifying...many people awkwardly left..but the baristas are awesome! And she should treat them better. They *might* get 30/hour bc it’s supplemented in tips. That isn’t a living wage offered by the owner, and it’s rarely consistent. How you treat people who work under you says something about your character, and the values of this business. Go to Tiger Bay instead!
Iconic bathroom and work sold by local artists but I don’t go here anymore because they don’t pay the workers a living wage and the owners treats the workers terribly. This place has been open since 2008 but can’t keep a barista for very long. It’s a small town; doing it like this is a bad business move. Disappointed and won’t be back.

Alright, this has become my favorite local spot! They always make good coffee and there’s really good food from Tiger Bay Cafe. Highly recommend paying in cash too! Don’t forget to tip the amazing baristas ☺️
