Meh I don't get the hype. Environment is fantastic!!! Beautiful! Staff is very nice! for the price being paid would expect more service and less waiting in lines for drinks and foods. Yes you have to wait in two separate lines. Understand why it is incase you don't want one or the other but either your food gets cold waiting on drinks or your drinks get watered down waiting on food. Feels like you are waiting in line for cafeteria food. Food is good. Nothing to blow your socks off. Was told their wings are phenomenal.... meh.... Store bought ranch.

Food: very good although they didn't offer us any of their bbq sauces. Ribs were a little too sweet for my taste but all and all very good solid BBQ. The collard greens were the best collards I've ever had. I could eat a whole bucket of them. Service: bar tender was awesome. The food staff were kind of dry and didn't seem like they wanted to be there at all. None of them smiled once the whole experience. Ambience: not much here. Outside area was nice but if it were cold there really wouldn't be much to take away here.

Damn this place was amazing! Everything was delicious, sides, main meats, everything! The bacon wrapped meatballs were the star of the show along with the smoked turkey breast. Ambiance was nice, we sat outside and the live music wasn't too loud. Service was fast and there wasn't a line at the time. We went back on our last day in Asheville to get a dozen meatballs to-go!

The food is great here and I order from there a lot. My problem is the delivery orders never have the barbecue sauce it is supposed to and if you don’t call and ask for it to be included in your bag they never put it. It is a horrible way to do delivery service. As long as you eat in it is great never ever get delivery. It is a waste of your money. Who in their mine wants to eat dry barbecue. For the price I should be able to get my one dollar free sauce.

Bear’s bbq of Asheville catered my wedding this weekend in Boone, NC and they were amazing!!! My husband & I had ate here on a trip to asheville once and we were hooked. The food for our wedding was so great & the staff was incredibly friendly and easy to work with! I didnt even have the chance to worry about food clean up by the time the wedding was over because they were so quick! The tables were quickly bussed & leftovers put away for us to take home! We overestimated the amount of food we needed for our guest count, but I’m glad we did because I had guest going back for 2nds & 3rds! Even the leftovers taste amazing. Thank you so so much for a great evening!!

Don’t expect to get any of the choice meats or sides after 8. The rest of what we could get was pretty average. Service was also very uninvested in making the compromised menu appealing.

My food was cold upon pick up. The mac and cheese doesn't have much flavor. The greens are horrible. I simply was not impressed for the price I paid.

The way the food was handled was nauseating. The man before me had brisket cut on a greasy cutting board and than ribs pulled from loosely wrapped aluminum foil and thrown on his plate. The server was wearing greasy dirty gloves. My turkey was cut with the same knife, the same greesy gloves, on the same cutting board and my husband's chicken and pulled pork were handled the same. Not once did I see anything wiped or cleaned.None of our meat was hot and the turkey looked and tasted like processed lunch meat.

We went there at 6:15 on a Sunday night. Nothing was fresh they had everything in alta shams, the portable mushrooms, the brisket, the baked potatoes. The corn, mac n cheese, and collards were in holding pans and everything was warm at best. Probably won't be back.Vegetarian options: Smoked portobello mushrooms, roasted corn, salads, baked potatoes.

This place is constantly out of most foods 2 hours to 1.5 hours before they close. Weekends or weekdays, doesn’t matter.
