Came here for brunch a while ago and never got our food. Waited well over 40 min. Server forgot to ring it in. Told us, apologized. Okay things happen. 15/20 min later. Still no food. Manager and kitchen standing around, doing nothing. Just left.

It was a really nice and chill place. We had a great brunch. They handled our group of 11 with ease. If in the area, I’d go back.Kid-friendliness: Our kids were very comfortable and they made concessions with the menu items to accommodate the kids. They pretty much told us tell us how you want it and we can make it.

Wonderful theme, honoring African-American history, I have never had a cinnamon roll, prepared from scratch to order before. Overall, all of the food was well prepared delicious and the ambience was terrific.

I don't recommend sitting at the bar where the drinks are picked up from unless you want to be front and center on all the workplace gossip and unorganized atmosphere. Bartender was very slow and seemed confused, which fueled tensions between coworkers. Didn't love the experience here. The food was just fine but took forever to come out.

The food was absolutely fantastic, but the service was sub-par. Our waters were one refilled once. It also took ten minutes to get our check after a waitress asked if we were ready for one.

The shrimp and grits were delicious. I had to restrain myself from licking the bowl.My friend ordered the pancakes and they were so good. They really put the cake in pancakes as they were pastry thick.Great experience.

Great local place. We loved the food. We came in at 10:45 AM with a reservation but the place was nearly empty. Server was nice but definitely seemed to want to finish up. We enjoyed our brunch. Would have loved more information on drinks and any dessert options.

My wife and I had brunch here. She ordered the steak and eggs(very tender! But the eggs were over hard vs easy) and I ordered the chicken and waffles( 10/10!! Chicken was amazing and the waffles were crispy and delish) the bloody Mary's were the best I ever had and the mimosas were also delicious! I would recommend to anyone!!!
Starting with the best, our server (bartender) was excellent, and really guided us through the menu. Additionally, he is an AMAZING mixologist. The food was above average, but I'm not sure I'd rush back, given the many, many options of Asheville. Maybe for a handcrafted cocktail and an appetizer at the bar? Yes. No doubt...

Chef Daulton Young's shrimp and grits is the best I have ever had, anywhere!!!! Grits are creamy. Huge shrimp flavored just right. Andouille sausage was tender. Red sauce was piquant, creamy, not too spicy. I could eat this everyday, it is that delicious!!!!! William our server was gracious and attentive. I can't say enough good things about this place!!!!!!!!!

Benne On Eagle was such a great experience. The food and drinks were exceptional and service was very attentive. I can’t remember the name of the server but her and the trainee were so welcoming and helpful. Can’t wait to visit Asheville again to come back!
