Jeff Sepot is one of the most condescending, rude, entitled people I’ve ever interacted with. He treats people like used gum on the bottom of his shoe. I feel genuinely bad for the individuals who have to report to someone with such an inflated and misplaced superiority complex. It’s obvious the favorite part of his day is attempting to make someone feel subservient to him. I think he is confused and thinks he operates a Ritz-Carlton, not a college dining hall.
A great place for students to gather for meals and snacks just off of their back door. Lots of choices and friendly faces.
Tbh food is ok most of the time. Not good but not horrible. Weekends are atrocious, though. Expect about the same 15-20 meals rotating. Ingredients are usually low quality, but it's at least prepared good sometimes.

It’s generally good just don’t get that Mac and cheese
The kitchen cooks with love, and it's easy to pick up on that when you set aside the hussle and bustle of being on a university campus. They have really tasty vegetarian options, and their brussel sprouts are delicious! The protein options taste home cooked, and they have a variety of desserts for those who fancy sweet. A very important and major suggestion I have is to throw less food away. There are so many people in this city, let alone the world, who need nourishment, and it's heartbreaking to see professionals in the food industry know this and still throw so much food out. This needs major correction.
Vegetarian options: Brussel sprouts, broccoli, veggie pasta, salad bar, veggie wraps, mashed potatoes, oatmeal, grits, biscuits, veggie sausage, mushrooms, tofu dishes
Dietary restrictions: Foods are labeled with ingredients for safety

My parents pay over two thousand bucks for the meal plan that all freshmen are required to have. What do I get out of that? Oversalted eggs, roasted tomatoes that I can’t cut with my fork, rock hard waffles, and dry fish. Oh, and diarrhea.
Cleared me out real good
50 shades of brown the way it handcuffs me to the toilet and puts my holes through pain
Restaurantji Recommends
makes ppl on campus sick literally 0/10
Decent food options,.
Last year I was a freshman at UNCA which forced to buy a meal plan (costs about 2700$)... it gives you 21 meals a week, 10 of which can come from a different food locations on campus. I ended up eating around 12 meals a week. 2 of which would be an occasional brown visit. Whenever I did go the food was always bad and I'd end picking at my food. Either cause it was overall bland or the server from the buffet would give me the obviously bad section of the dish (burnt, dry, or goopy). Furthermore their water is heavily chlorinated which leads to drinking beverages (soda, juice, milk, tea) instead of water.Aside from the food there is almost always a line and a lack of servers.Lastly they started making hot wings back in the kitchen BUT you have to pay (not with your meal plan) to buy them. Personally I belive this is crooked and greedy.Overall Brown is awful. Their bad food resulted in me losing 20 pounds (about 15% of my bodyweight) cause I'd rather be hungry than go through the brown experience.
Such amazing people
Great variety for the campus limited covid-19 menu. Still a good deal
