Butterbug's Baked-to-Order

I ordered two pies for a family Thanksgiving dinner. They were a hit - especially the Kentucky Bourbon pecan pie! Everyone commented about how delicious they were.
I personally not only loved the pies, but was even more impressed with the owner, Wendi, and her obvious passion and excitement about her craft. One can tell immediately the love she has for what she creates.
It was an absolute pleasure to interact with her, and I'll most definitely be a return customer!

My Thanksgiving pies were amazing. The Pumpkin was absolutely delicious, and the Chocolate Pecan was to die for. The pie crust was the BEST I've ever had. Wendy was super friendly and accommodating. I can't wait until the next holiday. I highly recommend giving Butterbug's a try, you won't be disappointed.

We ordered a custom 6-inch vintage-style cake from Butterbug’s for my sister’s 30th birthday, and it was absolutely perfect! The design was gorgeous — every detail from the piping to the gold and disco ball accents was spot on. It looked exactly like the inspiration photo, but even better in person.

And the flavor? Incredible. The house-made raspberry puree and fresh blueberries were so fresh and balanced perfectly with the frosting. Everyone loved it, and my sister was obsessed!

Wendi was so kind, communicative, and easy to work with throughout the process. You can tell she truly cares about her craft and her customers. I can’t recommend Butterbug’s enough — we’ll definitely be ordering again!

Butterbugs did a fabulous job of making my wedding dessert - mini cupcakes - served on a tiered serving piece that looked beautiful and were very moist and tasted heavenly!

Wendi came to the rescue when an unexpected spinal surgery kept me from being with my daughter on her 20th birthday! She was away at college and Wendi put the Mom touches on her delivery, offering to purchase a birthday card, and throwing in a bouquet of flowers as a surprise. My daughter LOVED the delicious tarts and cupcakes (the NC Apple Caramel Cheesecake Tart was her favorite!) and we couldn't be more grateful! Thank you Wendi!!

Lacking flavor or something.

I recently ordered 2 cakes, the German chocolate and the coconut cream layer cake! They were incredible, so moist and delicious! Everyone at our party loved them! Wendi was so easy to communicate with and pick up was a breeze! I will definitely be ordering again from Butterbugs for the holidays!

We ordered a black forest cake for our mother’s 100th birthday and butter bugs did not disappoint! The cake was amazing. Our hundred year-old mother loved it!

Butterbug's made the perfect cake for our party!

I ordered a chocolate cake with raspberry filling and ganache frosting. It was incredibly moist and delicious, easily the best chocolate cake I've had in a long time. Beyond the taste, the writing and flowers looked absolutely beautiful and professional.

Ordering with Wendi was so easy and smooth—she was a delight to work with. Everyone at the party kept asking where I got the cake! Highly recommend Butterbug's for any special occasion!
