Burger was absolutely fabulous. Chicken and waffles were a hit for us as well. Gary our server was great. Enjoyed ourselves.

I had the catfish Reuben. Everything fit a classic reuben. Large pieces of catfish, great slaw, thousand Island dressing all fit Great together. We also had a burger that was a 10. Cooked perfectly. Tasted wonderful. Fast great service. Definitely going back.

Very disappointed. I am an Asheville resident and I really wanted to have a great experience. Not busy on a Saturday night. They were out of the wine I ordered, out of the entree my friend ordered. I had the French onion soup which was fine but the wedge salad was all chopped up and contained soggy Romain, hardly any bacon, tomatoes, or blue cheese. Small salad. My friend got the burger which she said was good. When the manager came to our table to see how everything was, I told him. He just looked at me, no apology, offer to get me something else, discount our bill or anything.

Great dinner and Charles was fantastic. Served with enthusiasm and lots fun. It was a quiet Friday night and felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. Be sure to order the carmels martini or the spa water cocktails

First time visiting Asheville and I am happy to say that Carmel's Kitchen and Bar was the biggest highlight of our trip thanks to its Maitre d.This is something every business should learn. You put someone like the guy we met out front to greet people walking by. I wish I would have gotten his name, but he was the friendliest person you could ever meet. He merely smiled and greeted us as we walked past the restaurant. He gave us recommendations and directions for things to do in town. He had an uplifting personality and was fun to speak with, and for that, we promised to return to have lunch with our group of friends.Lunch was decent. I can't say anything stood out about the food but we had burgers and personal pizzas --- all of which were quite good as were the glasses of beer we enjoyed. It was a beautiful day so sitting outside with our dog, enjoying our meal, was complete bliss. Of course, our Maitre d friend came over to see how we were doing.Later that afternoon, we parked our car in front of the restaurant, and remembering us, the Maitre d came out to warn us that the police might issue us a parking ticket for backing in our vehicle instead of parking head-forward. I thought that was very kind of him to give us a heads-up. When we returned to our car for the last time, he waved us all goodbye. We felt as if we made a friend in Asheville.

First time eating here! Fantastic service! The drinks are so yummy, especially the "Spa Water" cocktail! Definitely pop in. The location is convenient, plenty of parking in the garage, plus awesome patio seating!

Stopped in for just a drink, spent $20 and enjoyed the view. Andrew the bartender is good, very busy but attentive to everyone. The food looked amazing, but heading out to home. The host was great also. No worries about here. I will come back for food.

Although there isn't a Happy Hour in North Carolina, I must say the service was great thanks to Andrew. The ambiance was cool was a nice evening and right before my lash appointment. I opted for the Whiskey Wednesday and Truffle Fries which consisted of Parmesan Cheese, Fresh Herbs, Black Pepper, Toasted Garlic Aioli. I enjoyed the flavor of the fries but I would recommend using a lighter oil as the fries were pretty heavy with grease. Otherwise the flavor was on point. I do think I will try the restaurant again, perhaps for dinner. Until next time...Cheers!

I set out to finally try this restaurant after walking by it for many years and seeing it busy a few times. My first impression of the place, its atmosphere, and the service were good ones.In regards to the food, I was a bit disappointed and found it a bit bland and flavorless. I'm not one to add salt to food, but these 3 items I'm posting pictures of really needed at the very least some salt. Now, I'm not one to completely write off a place based on first-time experiences, so I will give it another try at some point in the next decade in hopes that it has improved.

I can say that the idea of trying all the restaurants in my area is an exciting adventure until i encounter a place such as this one, and I become skeptical and even scared of trying new places. In short, the food was not good. It was flavorless and plain. I'm truly disappointed in the effort or lack that they put into making their food. The only thing I liked was the mushroom soup. I recommend that to my mushroom lovers. Is okay, I prefer to go and get a nice sub compared to the tasteless food I purchased for their overpriced food.

Honestly really wanted to like this place. Love the patio seating, but the food was terrible. The service was adequate. Ordered beef sliders and they definitely were frozen/premade BS (saving them for the dog). Husband got fried chicken and collards-mediocre at best. For $80 plus tip-it just was not at all worth it :(
