Catawba Brewing Company is a decent space with plenty of seating and some games to play inside (darts, cornhole, etc.). This isn't their main location, but just a "tasting room" which kind of under-sells it. Their beers were pretty darn good, and the bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable.
A couple really good options on tap and I loved the darts and other games available for play. Bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable about helping us choose a beer and talking about local trails
Located just outside the most walkable area of the Biltmore Village. Still accessible on foot, but not in the town center.Lots of space inside, it presents like a converted large garage. Lots of bar seating, high top, and normal tables. Despite all the seating, it still felt pretty sparse. Quite a few dartboards available for free-play. Stopped for a drink, but none of the beers really resonated with me. Tried the Pineapple IPA which seemed to be missing the pineapple. With all of the excellent breweries in town, this one won't make my repeat list.
Always have a good stop here. It’s super chill and dog friendly. Workers are always kind and we love their beer.
A great place for a drink or 2... Especially if you're in the Biltmore Village area as it's within walking distance. I had a flight with the following:1. Mango chilli sour2. Blackberry lemon IPA3. Blackberry cobbler smoothie sour4. Watermelon kolchAll were unique and delicious and there was a good variety of small batch brews. Bartender was solid and knew his stuff. We came on a Saturday around 1:30. Not crowded at all.
Great people and great beer. Very dog friendly. Had an open, community venue vibe. We really enjoyed our time here.
This is a wonderful little tasting room tucked away just East of Biltmore Village. The beer is tasty and the staff is friendly, knowledgeable, smart, funny and good looking. Would give at least six stars but alas there are only five.
I found this location a bit strange. No ambience really, everyone looked bored, and when I was waiting for my drink the bartender- a man- totally didn’t see me and tried to help the man behind me. When I spoke he acted like he couldn’t hear me. Like total arrogant conservative male vibes. I like the beer and I like the falls but this place (close to home and convenient) is meh compared to Hillman and Cursus Keme- maybe it was just the bro.

While this spot has always been great, it’s obvious that Catawba has been putting time & effort into revamping this space in the past few months. Truly love this spot
Might have just been an off day, but wasn't all that impressed. My wife got a flight and only liked 1 of the 4, I had the white zombie and was good. We may or may not be back next time we're in Asheville.
Haven't been there for a while but it was good to be back. Friendly staff, cool rainy day vibe., Ax throwing was closed but they now have some great new pinball machines! Had a wonderful time. Good beer too. I had a Pumpkin Spice version of their Morning Joe; their pumpkin beer, King Don; and a berry version of their White Zombie. All great!
We love catawba brewing and haven't met a small batch yet we didn't like. Prefer the biltmore village location because of the atmosphere. I only gave it four stars because the axe throwing has kinda taken away some of the appeal and what we really loved about the location. It was hard to carry on a conversation with the constant sound of the axe hitting the back wall and the exclamations from the participants. I still love catawba and the location but will probably time visits when axe throwing isn't open.
Great environment and pretty good beers too!
