The hype is still evidenced by the long wait times especially around the weekend. However, menu has shrunk especially for vegetarians. The flavors were better on previous visits. Staff is great as usual and the ambiance is very fun and lively.Vegetarian options: Several vegetarian options but decreased from before. Still a good place for vegetarians overall. The vegetarian thali was filling and a good value.Kid-friendliness: The staff was nice and accommodating but menu for kids is limited. The main entrees are not too flavorful and the kids did great with the chole and naan

We visit multiple times a year. It's always great tasting and never disappointing food, service an environment. Make sure to always get there early because they do have a wait list that sometimes closes. Worth the wait!

I had an amazing dinner in the restaurant and got takeout for my husband. I had the green mango chaat, daal, and a jal jeera soda. I loved the chaat - it was so fresh and flavorful. I ordered the jal jeera soda because it had cumin in it and I wanted to see what a beverage with cumin was like - it was fantastic!!! It was so refreshing and I would love to have it again. Unfortunately, I don't live in Asheville, so I will just have to wait until I come back again. For takeout, I got the green mango chaat and the sloppy jai for my husband - he loved both of them. I was picking him up at the airport and we were coming back the next weekend and he asked if we could eat here again before I dropped him off at the airport. The service was very attentive and helpful.Vegetarian options: There are lots of vegetarian and vegan options on the menu and they are all clearly labeled, including chaat, sandwiches, and curries.

I absolutely adore coming here to savor their delectable vada pav, crispy okra, and pav bhaji. The cocktails they craft are simply divine and meticulously concocted. As an Indian, my heart sings with joy at the flavors this place offers and the care with which they prepare each dish. The first time I stepped foot in this establishment six years ago, I was taken aback by its charm and left utterly content after my meal. In sum, this gem boasts exceptional cuisine, impeccable service, and a prime location. It's heartwarming to know that this restaurant stands as a beacon of inclusivity, welcoming individuals from all walks of life, including the LGBT community.Vegetarian options: Cripsy fried okra, vada pav, bhel, pav bhaji, katho rolls

Wow wow wow! This place was amazing! Everything was absolutely delicious! There wasn't a single thing we ordered that was just okay. Highly recommend the sloppy jai! Sweet and spicy, tender ground lamb in little sliders with purple cabbage. Omg! The ambiance is fun and friendly!

We were told there is always a huge line. We walked by. We just ate. But we stopped and grabbed a table and ate again. So good. We will be back.

Everything about this place is amazing. It’s a must visit while in town. I tried the Vada Pav , tomato and cheese Uttapam, and the Gulab Jamun. The buns were light and fluffy, the combo of mint and sweet and spicy perfect, and rose cardamom syrup in the desert was to die for.Dietary restrictions: Things marked vegan, vegetarian and gluten free. There is a disclaimer about peanuts and shell fish may be cross contaminated due to surfaces and shared fryers. I didn’t ask about a designated gf fryer.
