Nothing fancy. Wouldn’t eat in. Very fast turnaround. Food was mediocre at best. So far I think China Taste in WAVL is the “best” Chinese food/takeout in the area but that ain’t saying much. Asheville DESPERATELY needs a solid Chinese restaurant. Red Ginger too high end and Shanghai Dumpling House a bit pricey and neither standard Chinese cuisine. Portions generous but food itself wasn’t so good.

I ordered the honey chicken. It was absolutely awful. It was breaded chicken like the sweet and sour chicken. But felt and tasted like it had been soaking in water the past hour. It was mushy. Hardly any chicken in the bread.

Today China Wok gets just 2 stars. I ordered the exact same food that I ordered last week, and was charged over $10 more for LESS food. My order was screwed up. I did not order soup & was charged for soup. I did not order white rice & was charged for a box of white rice. I ordered wontons that come w/ a soy dipping sauce and that was NOT in the bag, & trying to explain that to the lady at the window got me no where-she insisted the crispy cheese wontons were the same as the fried wontons. I explained that I was overcharged and you would think a restaurant would want to straighten that out, but not this lady--I was just rushed aside and on to the next customer. Be warned that your over the phone order may not be what you get when you pick it up--check your bag!!

I can say that one pint is enough for 2 people, if you don't eat much.

My partner and I ordered egg rolls, wonton soup, General Tsao chicken, and Mushu vegetable pancakes. We are quite particular about food, but both agreed that each dish was exceptional, cooked well and extremely tasty. We will definitely be adding China Wok to our list of favorites! Extra star for being open Christmas Day!

Was alone on Christmas, so I decided to order Chinese food from here delivered... bad idea. They threw in some kind of meat eggroll which I didn't order, and the meat inside it was literally RAW. It was disgusting, so I threw it out. My Szechuan chicken didn't even look like chicken. It was soft and rubbery and honestly tasted undercooked. Very dissappointing because i was hungry, and had to try to power through it, to my.own dismay. I'm never eating here again.

Prices are up and quality down. Recently got Egg Foo Young which didn't resemble any I have ever had in the past.

My go to local wok when I'm in town. Nothing special, nor does it claim to be. Inexpensive and fast.

Good general tsos and veg chow mei fun- the chicken fried rice was bad- Raw onions, dry and weird rubbery tasting chicken. The majority of what we ordered was good enough, but it tasted like cheap food, and the prices were not cheap.

They gave me the wrong food. They also gave the person before me the wrong food.
