So good! Cinnamon roll was flaky almost like a croissant, and super delicious. Bagel was crusty and chewy— just perfect. Cold brew was fantastic and my kiddo’s hot chocolate was really good, too. We loved it!

This place is by far one of my favorite breakfast places I’ve ever been. I was in town for a week with my family and I made us go 3 times. The TAB sandwich will change your life. Never has something so delicious been inside my mouth. I would die to know what sauce the use on it because it is DIVINE. The pastries are to die for as well, especially the chocolate croissant. I got the iced tea each time I went and it was the same high quality and taste each time. If you are looking for a breakfast place in Asheville, look no further!

Unlike the rubbery day-old croissant Euro foists upon the unsuspecting, City Bakery serves up fresh and delicious baked goods.My choice today was a Breakfast BLT on a (crispy outside/moist & chewy) ciabatta. It was delicious and really hit the spot.Large customer seating area. You sit with a number after ordering, and staff delivers your food to the table.Wide range of coffees, teas and espresso drinks along with muffins, bagels, scones and…yes…croissants!RECOMMENDED

Two girlfriends and I had lunch here. It was really good! We all had sandwiches and thought they were good. If they had had cold sandwiches like tuna salad we would have bought them for our drive on Blue Ridge Parkway. We did buy a biscuit and two chocolate croissants for the next days breakfast and they were delicious! Definitely recommend.

Well... Not what I was expecting. It was so much better!! I expected an okay to good breakfast sandwich, but what I got was a great to amazing sandwich. I ordered the Hawaiian sandwich and it was phenomenal. The flavors were good the bread and ham melted in your mouth. It was like no other breakfast sandwich I've had before.

Visited here after reading reviews. Very disappointed with the serving staff but food was good The lady making the coffee was very miserable and rude and not just to us ! All tables were dirty There is a lot of choice in this so I wouldn’t bother to visit again

One of our favorite breakfast spots we put on rotation. The Cheddar Scallion Breakfast Sandwich is the bomb, add some bacon after a night out and it’s even better. Balance some sweet with savory. I’m partial to the Cinnamon Roll.We grab bread and bagels to go and freeze for later use.Order online for easy pickup or enjoy in the restaurant. We do both. Ordering online is great when we have friends visiting and everyone can place their own order and just need one person to pick up.There’s a handful of parking spots on the side lot for convenience.Don’t miss out on there seasonal offerings! Sandwiches at lunch are tasty too!
7 people working not one wiped clean table in the entire dining room. It is a self bussing establishment but once in a while wipe a table clean. There were 3 guests in the dining room. Just nasty bus area as well. If you do self bussing seating at least make an effort. To go only. The food was good. The breads looked great, not much left at 12:00 so get here early.

One of my many favorite coffee bars in Asheville. Great on the go just popping in for coffee and pastries or if you want to hang out and get work done. They expand their space into the neighboring restaurant when it’s closed in the morning, so there is plenty of space. Oh and the cheddar scallion biscuits ?

I feel foolish that I've lived in Asheville this long and haven't been going to City Bakery! I have started going in regularly as of about four weeks ago, and everything has been fantastic!My favorites: Saus Egg & Chs on Cheddar Scallion Biscuit, Farmhouse Sandwich on Ciabatta (pictured), Lemon Cookies, Matcha Freeze, Sourdough Sandwich Loaf to take home! I really appreciate that I can order most of the food items through the website and just pick them up when I go in to order my Matcha Freeze. Also, the orange juice is divine. ?Service is always as fast as possible, the team seems to communicate effectively, staff is polite (but not like, Fake Nice), and I absolutely love all of the artwork on the walls. I never stick around long, but the ambiance there is very nice. It seems like it would be a great place to hang out and answer emails, and there are a lot of differently-sized tables to choose from.Thanks, City Bakery!
