Food definitely not what I expected - I have been there before with great food. This was sub par

Great service but the food was not worth the expense. We had two beers, cheeseburger and fries, grilled cheese and fries - cost $179

Out of several menu items and wagu bolognese tasted like something I could make at home. Server was great , but food was not as expected.

Recommend you eat at the Vue or the Sunday brunch buffet at Blue Ridge, both of which are at Grove Park Inn. While both of those other restaurants are certainly pricier, they are well worth the money. This is bar food, and they were out of a few items. Pulled pork sandwich was good and wings were pretty good. I heard from other folks that the Smashburger here was very good. We knew going in that Edison was bar food, and we typically love bar food, but it is admittedly hard for them to compete with the fine dining at the Grove Park Inn. Excellent host and wait staff though.

Food and drinks were decent but service was very slow. Took over an hour for our food to arrive.

Our food was good. The service was a little slow for what we ordered. Grilled cheese and Caesar salad. Our server was very nice and tried to make sure we were taken care of.

Edison at the Omni Grove Park Inn was an excellent dining experience and a standout in Asheville. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, including toward families with children — something that is not always the case at higher-end restaurants. The staff was friendly, patient, and accommodating, which made the experience relaxed and enjoyable for everyone at the table.

The food was very well executed, with a menu that balances Southern-inspired comfort dishes and creative flavors. What really stood out was the range of options available. There were thoughtful vegan choices, not just token substitutions, as well as plenty of options for non-vegans. Everything we ordered was flavorful, well-presented, and clearly made with quality ingredients.

Service was attentive without feeling rushed, and the staff was knowledgeable about the menu and dietary needs. The craft beer and cocktail selection was excellent, featuring local options that paired well with the food.

The setting and views add to the experience, but what truly makes Edison special is the combination of great food, genuine hospitality, and inclusivity. If you are looking for a place that delivers quality while also being family-friendly and accommodating to vegan diners, Edison is an easy recommendation.

The atmosphere here was wonderful. The view from our table was amazing. We came here for our anniversary and had an amazing dinner. The hummus was phenomenal and the filet mignon was to die for. The atmosphere was quiet and kind of dark, which I liked!! I highly recommend this place

The food here used to be pretty good a few years ago. Just went with my family yesterday and I can say that it has decreased in quality and is massively overpriced. $37 for pasta that tastes like the sauce came from a jar. Everyone there is really nice, however the food is not up to the quality they present.

You are paying for the view and to be at Omni. If you’re going to go just get some appetizers and eat somewhere else later.

We had a fantastic experience at Edison’s on our first night at the Grove Park Inn. Lindsay was an incredible server—extremely knowledgeable, personable, and impressively attentive, truly making the evening special. Manager Spencer also helped ensure everything ran seamlessly. The food was fantastic, and the overall atmosphere was great. Our only minor complaint was that the chairs at the high-top tables felt a bit low, making you feel like a kid at the table—nostalgic for some, but a little awkward for others. That said, it was a very small issue, and thanks to Lindsay’s outstanding service, the experience was truly exceptional.

I can’t give Edison the full 5 stars because they did not have their outdoor seating available on our visit to view the Gingerbread competition. I made my reservations on Open Table. The bar next door had cocktails and food and seating in the covered outdoor seating area where we waited until 2 pm for Edison while they kept their outdoor area closed. Our waiter was Great and made us feel welcomed. The food was good. The Grove Park Inn is iconic and the views are beautiful But we were denied a big part of the anticipated experience.

Correction... zero stars .
Way over priced ... $32 per plate (x3) for fish and chips , that I could not even bring myself to eat .🤮
In the upper right of the picture is most of the soggy mess that was on my plate . And who doesn't have tartar sauce ?
What happen to the steak fries ?
If you're going to serve shoe string fries don't tell us they're steak . As far as the fries , maybe send the Chefs to McDonalds for some continued education .
We have two different understandings of steak fries .
Unfortunately I checked reviews after the fact or , I may have asked if the fish and chips had been improved upon , based on previous remarks of recent reviews .

I feel you use the Omni , GPI and Edison name as a legal means to rob good people of their money .
Shame on you folks , shame on you .
Never will I ever again .

The service was really bad, and the food was not much better. Out of our group of 10, two of the meals had to be comped- one because it arrived much later than the others due to waitstaff error and the other because it was way too salty. We went for the purpose of viewing the gingerbread houses but had to cut our visit short because the meal took almost two hours.

Come here and have a drink and enjoy the sunset outside. Do not eat here. The food is lower than mediocre. I've been here several times as family likes to gather here at the holidays. The Omni Grove Park should be embarrassed by what they serve and the price point at which they serve it. Last night I tried the fish and chips. The crust on the chips was as though the entire fish and chips had been steamed. It was soggy. Inside the white cod fish was mush. And the string fries were limp. I didn't eat it. I paid for it. I think it was $36. There is a place in Asheville that's earned a mention on the Michelin guide for seafood. I'm going to go there for lunch and leave this property for food. If you want. When you check in, stop by the trader Joe's in North Asheville and load up on snacks, drinks and goodies and bring them in-house yourself.

Asheville has way too many unbelievably fantastic restaurants. Leave the property and explore Asheville for great food.

Been here before and it was great, today was awful, waiter was as unenthusiastic as possible. Fish and chips had cold fries, not warm, very cold. Fish batter had zero seasoning. My wife's tomato soup was served in a cup, previously it was a bowl. Son in laws short ribs and grits were tough. I don't know what has happened here, but we will not be back 146.84 for food that was cold , tough, no flavor and portions too small. Sad, we used to love this. GPI should be ashamed of what's being brought to tables here.
