We absolutely LOVE this restaurant. We eat here approximately 2-3 times per month. The food is outstanding as well as the staff. The ambiance is calm and pretty quiet, clean, and has nice decor. Highly recommend!!

El Chápala is your typically Mexican restaurant, with all the normal options. The salsa was very good, and worth coming back for. Our group had an odd experience however that takes away from the overall rating. During dinner a wet ceiling tile fell on our group and multiple plates. The workers didn’t seem overly concerned about it, and just brought a new plate of food after we decided to move ourselves to another table. No free meals were given, nor was any sympathy offered. That’s not good customer service. Not to mention I’m sure we could have made a big deal about the incident.Overall the food here is good, salsa is great, but customer service is lacking.
My family had lunch here while on vacation. Great homestyle Mexican food, very reasonable and delicious. Modest interior but clean and friendly. Lots of working folks came in for lunch. A secret jewel.
