El Charro Mexican Restaurant

This is a wonderful lil spot to get your Lunch or to try a better than most Mexican buffet. The food was quite fresh and was a very wide selection compared to most Mexican buffets I have been to. The lunch pricing is very competitive. The chips are absolutely wonderful, thick but not too thick, perfectly cooked and golden brown. The fajita steak was a little tough but the chicken and ground beef were very flavorful. The atmosphere shows its age but it feel like that classic restaurant you went to eat with you parents at in the mid 2000s I will definitely be back!

Love this place, I’m there every week!

The buffet was pretty lame. The soup tasted like it was canned with chicken thrown in. The banana pudding was definitely canned, I was really hoping for flan. The burritos tasted like they were using up yesterday's left overs. Very disappointed and my digestive track is still paying for it three days later.

Had been meaning to try this place. Quick service I got my food in about 10-15min. Free chips and salsa which was pleasantly spicey. Absolutely massive burrito with a good helping of rice. All for like 10 bucks, yea I think I’m going back for more.

Tamales are fantastic..correct ratio of masa to pork.. The rice is fluffy and steamed perfect..Chicken enchilada was juicy and tons of flavor! Prices are great. Service was fast and pleasant.

Service is always impeccable and the food always seems to be better each time, definitely worth a visit.

Canned low quality ans very disappointing. Do not eat here. It was so bad we had to throw it out and we were starving. It's empty on a Friday night we should have left without our order. Everything tasted like canned food made at home in the worst way. We could have gone to Ingles and made better Mexican food. On the bright side they're very nice but even made an excuse for how empty it was on a Friday night. Get a real cook in there fast.

Not a place I would recomend for was not good at I did enjoy the refried beans by the way always check your ticket she told me $91 and my receipt had like 4 dollars extra and her response was I don't know this machine and why it charges that

Asheville location. First of all, this place looked deserted. The outside of the building needed major TLC. The decals on the windows looked like someone almost finished scraping them off. It was dark inside with no signs of life, only 3 cars in the parking lot, but they could have been for one of the other businesses there. Too scary to go inside. If the outside looks this bad, I don't want to see inside. We walked up near the door, but just couldn't stomach going in. Neat idea for a Mexican Buffet, but wait till you're ready before telling folks you're open for business.

Went to La Carreta where I waited 20 minutes without any service, which is understandable they had a ungodly amount of customers at the time, so I left and went here.The restaurant had better prices and much better service. Our waitress was so kind and very helpful. If you’re looking to enjoy a meal that isn’t whitewashed + don't want to be around a bunch of screaming kids and adults with zero spacial awareness , you should absolutely go here. The only reason I rated the Food 4/5 is because they didnt have two menu items I wanted, the food was delicious anyways.
