It was fine but I wasn’t thrilled and likely wouldn’t go back

This is a beautiful restaurant. The people are phenomenal and very kind.

Here’s the thing. If you have small children or picky eaters in your party, they’ll struggle to find “normal food” here.

Some people just like grilled chicken and baked potatoes, y’all.

This was a cool restaurant. Awesome atmosphere. A very friendly wait staff. Food was good, not great. A little pricey for the portions and the plating. But I would come back mainly because of how nice the staff was. One word of caution, this is in the ground floor of the hotel and the hotel puts WAY too much scent in the lobby and throughout. Overpowering and caused me and my wife headaches.

Nehemiah was our server and very personable without being intrusive. The “eat like the chefs” tasting menu was delicious. Highly recommend the crab beignets and the beef tartar. Panna cotta with basil, peaches, and savory cornbread was a really interesting end of the meal. We will definitely come back here when we return to Asheville.

Wow!!!

Everything was on point! Came here to celebrate a big milestone and was not disappointed in the least.

Our server was incredible and attentive, the crab beignets were an absolute savory sweet delight! Our hanger steaks perfectly cooked and the Chantilly mushrooms and turnips we had as signs were absolutely incredible.

Honestly one of the best meals we have had in a
few months!

Well done :)

Golden Hour at The Radical – A 1000/10 Asheville Dining Experience
If you're heading to Asheville, make sure Golden Hour at The Radical is at the top of your list. The atmosphere and environment are an easy 1000 out of 10 — from the stunning design to the warm, golden light that fills the space, it’s one of those rare spots that feels effortlessly cool and inviting.
We went in to try their new menu, and honestly? It’s majestic.
We started with the Ash-Roasted Beets — a perfect harmony of creamy stracciatella, crunchy nuts, and homemade focaccia. The textures, the flavor, the colors — it was beautifully done and bursting with depth.
Next came the Greens and Purples, a colorful and bold dish where the bitter radicchio meets a tangy, rich yogurt. A gorgeous balance of fresh and earthy.
For entrées:
The Chop Shop Pork Steak was cooked to perfection and served with beans, peas, and apple — a comforting, savory dish with a subtle sweetness.
The Rack of Lamb is a must. Grilled beautifully and paired with chive (ciboulette) and mint, it delivered a complex burst of flavors that lingered in the best way.
We ended with the Vanilla Panna Cotta with peaches and basil — possibly grilled peaches (they tasted like it!). The addition of basil and olive oil made it a sweet-meets-savory dessert that stood out.
Cocktails? Don’t miss the Autumn Ember. It had an impressive presentation and a bold, layered profile that paired perfectly with the meal.
Special shoutout to our server Nehemiah, the service was top-notch, and their knowledge of each dish really elevated the experience.

Food is OK, however, very pricey. However, the experience is quite lacking. Manager, Marissa was super rude and unhelpful and very, not friendly. We will not be going back and definitely would not recommend this to anyone we know.

Great food and good atmosphere. I give the food 4/5 stars because the food was spectacular but the portions were a little small.
