🔥 Just had their food and I am blown away! I’ve been missing real Cuban food since leaving South Florida, and this spot nails it. Authentic, flavorful, and hands down the BEST Cuban food in the Carolinas (maybe ever!). This is true Cuban comfort food, and I’ll 100% be coming back again and again. 💯🙌

My husband and I visited this excellent and amazing food truck located in Asheville, North Carolina, we had a great experience. Amazing food, delicious, good portions, good prices, customer service exceptional!! We got tostones, lechon pork with rice and black bean, sweet plantains, ham croquets, Cuban sandwich, mamey juice and jupina drink, everything was great, congratulations!! Please visit this place!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our meals from Guajiro Cuban Comfort Food. The food truck sits outside of Hi-Wire Brewing. They have a relationship with the brewery which allows their customers to use the tables both outside and inside.
My dining partner ordered the Sweet Plantains (Plantanos Maduros), White Rice (Arroz Blanco), and Nana's Black Beans (Frijoles negros de Nana). I ordered Roasted Pork (Lechon Asado) with Mixed Rice and Black Beans (Arroz Concri) which also came with three sweet plaintains. We shared a Flan de Coco (Flan topped with sweet coconut) for dessert.
The lechon asado was delicious. The meat was juicy and tender with a wonderful flavor. It had no need for any sauce. The plantains were delicious. The Nana's black beans were wonderful; the flavor was amazing. The flan was fantastic. The custard was perfect, and deeply infused with the caramel sauce. The coconut was moist and sweet. The portions were quite generous and there was enough to bring home for another meal.

We finally got the chance to visit Guajiro Food Truck after hearing so many great things from friends, and it absolutely filled our expectations. As a Cuban, I felt genuinely honored to experience such authentic, flavorful food that reminded me of home. We also had the pleasure of meeting Raudel, who was incredibly kind and welcoming. He took the time to chat with us and even made some great recommendations that did not disappoint. Gracias de corazón!

This is the real deal. Asheville does not have many cuban places to eat but no where else compares to Guajrio! If you want authentic and delicious cuban food, you have to give them a visit! My favorite is the lechon asada and plantains. I would not recommend anywhere else for cuban.
