This restaurant has lovely ambiance, but a limited menu. The hamburger and fries though were excellent.

We have been twice for drinks and apps or small plates. Very interesting menu. Sweet breads with red eye gravy and veal brains with brown butter and capers to name two. They also have a raw bar and an extensive cheese and cured meat selection. The bartenders are very friendly and knowledgeable…not only about drinks but about food as well.

Taneil was incredible. Service and food was incredible, and I'm personally excited to see a high-end dining experience that won't break a budget here in Asheville. Warmest regards to Chef Siem for checking in personally during our meal. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a diverse menu delivered in a setting built for the classiest of patrons.

In anticipation of a visit to see a friend in Asheville, my husband came across an article on best restaurants. Holman and Finch came up. When we arrived, the kitchen was backed up so they asked us to wait in the bar. We had a completely delightful waitress who made the wait seem like no time at all. When we were seated, we got a charming waiter. I had the strip, my friend had the vegetable platter (and I was envious of his plate!!!), and my husband had the carbonara. We topped it off with sticky toffee pudding and something else I'm blanking on (when there is sticky toffee pudding, is there really anything else that matters?). I'm told the other desert was good; I can attest that the pudding cake was! The dinners were fantastic. I would recommend it, but have reservations. The smallish place was packed, though we were there on a Sat night around 7:30.

This pub has everything we look for in a great dining experience: location: just down Biltmore from Pack Square ambience: just the right balance between casual and proper; very comfortable and intriguing food: we have to go back again and again to try all that is appealing. On today's first foray at brunch: the eggs benedict was outstanding, with housemade muffins, housemade Canadian bacon, perfect poached eggs and ample delicious hollandaise. My husband's breakfast plate comes with lots of choices of eggs, meat, bread with house-made potato hash. He must have gotten 8 slices of bacon - never seen anything like it. They offer design your own bloody mary, with your choice of 4 liquors, several garnishes (celery, bacon, and more), and whether or not to include salt on the rim, Worcestershire, etc. Turns out their housemade bloody mary mix was a little too spicy for us, so we switched to their unique cocktails. With 3 desserts to choose from, we LOVED sharing their sticky toffee pudding - just the right mix of sweet and salty, with a little crunch to the base. perfect! Service: could not have been better. In addition to the well-trained server addressing our every need, the manager/hostess looked in on us several times, as did the bartender and even the chef! We will be back for a Friday lunch, for dinner and for Restaurant Week.

Supreme raw oyster bar and charcuterie options. Great place to come when you are in the mood for cocktails and a nosh or tapas-type meal. We enjoyed our perch at the bar watching the oysters getting shucked and the charcuterie boards being prepared. Very friendly service.

This is one of my last five star finds for 2022. You will not be disappointed with this find. Not only is the food amazing but the ambiance has a cool French Bistro vibe that will not disappoint you! We popped in for a drink but stayed to enjoy that days "le plat principal". How could you not! The ambiance, the welcoming staff ..the aromas! We started with one of their signature cocktails, Bridge the Gap. It was very refreshing for a gloomy rainy day. We moved on to the charbroiled oyster which you can tell from the accompanying picture where to die for! They didn't last long. They had the right amount of everything to break open all 7 taste buds. Our next selection was the Crunchy Gentlemen, which had such a French bistro feel that I cannot explain. We then thought "let's add a true American staple" the Cheeseburger. I know you are asking why , but why not! Let me just tell you one of the most savory burgers I've had since I've sat at my grandmothers farmhouse table! I can't say enough about this five star find! You need to try it for yourself. Let me know what you Think! I'm glad I found this place and happy to make it my final Five Star Find for 2022! Bon Appetite!

My husband and I were so lucky to stumble upon this gem. Our bartender, Willis was super nice and had fabulous suggestions. He's definitely an asset to the establishment! We only had appetizers and drinks, but are looking forward to having dinner next time we visit Asheville! The vibe is so on point and the bone marrow and oysters we fantastic!

I really like this restaurant. The atmosphere and decor is quaint and cool and I love that they have the heated patio. The crunchy gentlemen is so rich and interesting, as well as their clams and pate. Their burger was super tasty. I think this is a place definitely worth checking out.

Burger fries excellent. Reminded me of maw maws salt & pepper & a little binding bread burgers. Fried chicken excellent. Best my 18yr old has had. Sausage gravy biscuit excellent. Liver mush wow awesome & homemade. I don’t eat store bought because, we’ll, ewww; the only other I had was a friends 5 generation homemade when they slaughter their own pig annually. It was that good. With sage. Yummm Lemon chess pie & pecan pie excellent. Nice the lemon wasn’t too sweet, pecan was just a touch too sweet, but maw maw never made hers sweet. Both were very tasty & pecan pie homemade crust was great. Was fun & relaxing for our on the go family on the way to get our tree weekend. We will go again.

Get two Irish Coffees, Steak Tartar to share and a charcuterie board with just 2 meats and 2 cheeses and you'll be happy! Pricey but worth it. The "meat and cheese" guy as we called him across the bar in full view would recommend and describe every meat and cheese available in detail. He was so good in his descriptions, that it was like he was describing his best sexual encounter he'd ever had in his life, except this was food. As he described the duck prosciutto, his eyes lids went to half mast with a slight devious grin on his attractive mug as he stared into the distance and it was as if he was recalling losing his culinary virginity in the best way ever. We automatically said "well have that" as his body English just sold us on his recommendations. I almost comically expected him to light a cigarette after explaining each detailed item suggested. He was spot on! The staff were excellent. Sit at at the bar, more fun!

Awsome dining experience. I don't normally eat oysters, but I have to admit, they were good. The service was great and the price was not too expensive..

It was my personal best experience for some good classic cocktails mixed to perfection plus the food and its burger. Sure about it too.

H&F was an amazing evening. First, the overall experience was unique with ambiance, food and drink. Lest one underestimate the focus on charcuterie, the choices are on full display by the bar. The service was friendly and intimate, giving us a culinary tour if the wonderful meats and cheeses at the restaurant. I strongly recommend giving the server free reign to build your board. And the bar is amazing. One of a kind cocktail creations compliment a high end selection of beers, wines and whiskies. The whiskey flights were great for purists like me, but my guests tried several of the house special cocktails to their great delight. While the entries and sides were all delicious, I want to call out the vegetarian plate on the menu. Instead of serving an afterthought of vegetables from the rest of the menu, H&F assembled a beautifully prepared, seasoned and plated menagerie of vegetables that rivaled anything on the menu. H&F made me wish I was a local so I could frequent a restaurant this committed to the art of high end casual dining.
