I was looking for Just a little snack. This was perfect. I got a delicious flavor-intense tomato basil soup and lemon-basil potato salad which was redskin potatoes skin-on, basil not overwhelming, just the right lemon. You order at the counter and get your own utensils and condiments. It looks to be an old converted house and aesthetically it does need a facelift. Music was cool and not too loud. Staff were friendly. \n\nI’ll be back here for sure… an unpretentious casual...
We were driving through North Carolina and stopped at Homegrown for lunch. Homegrown was a standout. Staff were on point and very friendly.
I tried the chicken sandwich, and it was amazing. Heavily seasoned with fresh toppings. The fries were also good.

had chickpea salad wrap. they didn't mash the chickpeas. that's a given when making it. they did substitute lettuce and tom for Asian slaw and sprouts. partner had catfish poboy which he liked. huge! peach decaf tea seemed watered down . place is extremely rustic. beware. just ok.
