Excited they found a new location, sad it will take a while to open still. This is definitely the best hibachi in town hands down often some consistency issues at least when ordering from the regular seating as my food has been cooked many different ways but always good and usually pretty great... Can't wait to come back

Visited this restaurant while on our Ministry retreat. The staff was very nice and attentive, the chef was interactive and the food was delicious. Devastated that 2 weeks later the hurricane hit. Praying for Western, NC and can't wait to see this restaurant back up and running 🙏

This is an amazing place to eat Japanese, you can either have your food cooked in front of you or you can sit and just order what you would like. And the sushi bar is amazing as well with plenty of choices.

We set at the bar until our table was ready the atmosphere was fine. Our waitress was OK. She got our bill mixed up and gave us everybody’s drinks at our table on our tab but other than that it was a good experience.

Ichiban is a fancy date night classic around Asheville! I've been here for many birthdays and high-end date nights. The service at the Hibachi tables is always top-notch, but it can be very high energy if that's what you're looking for! For a more relaxing dining experience, there is plenty of other seating available! If you are looking to sit at a Hibachi table, I HIGHLY recommend calling ahead for a reservation. Otherwise, wait times can be very high. I personally love their white/shrimp sauce and any of their hibachi dinner options. The soups and salads that come with the entrees are also solid.
Parking: You now need to pay for parking at Ichiban.
