We walked across the street from where we were staying on a cold night and the place was almost empty and we worried a bit. The server was nice enough but not overly friendly. The food was just outstanding - one of us only had the Ceasar and Soup but both were perfect - the other the Fish and Chips which were perfectly done. Not being a "french fry" fan, I gobbled them up - something very different about them. Would definatley return to this place again.

I've been here twice now and both times I've had great service and food. They have the best diner style burger in Asheville. Medium sized beer selection and good options of craft and domestic.

We enjoyed our meal and the service so much. My Boyfriend is from Boston has worked in restaurants his whole life. He is very particular about the food he eats. When we saw lobster roll on the menu. He was excited to try it. Growing up in New England I was worried it would not compare to what he was used to. I was wrong. It far exceeded his expectations. Everything we had from drinks to desserts was excellent and the service was great. Server was very friendly. Perfect date night . We will be back !

Came into town for a business meeting. Iconic was nearby and had good reviews. So glad we came in! Not only was the food delish (had the pork chop), and the mulled cider (this girl was chilly), the company (shout out to you, Warren!!) made it the perfect stop. Our visit could not have been better. Rhiannon was awesome, the food delish. Philly cheese steak and fries. Great atmosphere and overall a 10. Will be back for sure.

It is a wonderful place with great menu! The food is abundant and really good. Try Mr Loaf, you won’t be able to finish it.. the nachos are awesome. It maybe off the central part of town.. but we’ll worth the venture!!!
Had ‘the NOLA’ shrimp po-boy the other day and man it was delicious!

I have a mixed reaction to the Iconic. On the one hand, I think the concept -- iconic dishes from all over the country -- is interesting. I wish the owners the best. On the other, I don't know that the execution of the concept is quite enough to make it work in this highly competitive and difficult market. These days you have to be really, really special to succeed, and the Iconic doesn't seem to be up to that standard. Our small group had dinner here recently at prime time on a weekday. The restaurant was mostly empty. Most of us were happy with our selections. However, the consensus seemed to be that prices were a bit on the high side for this kind of place (draft beers around $6, cocktails $10 to $14, entrees including burgers $14 ... to up to $23 for dinner entrees). One of our group was very unhappy with the preparation of the entree, and nobody was jumping up and down with excitement about finding a great new spot. Consensus opinion: Maybe we would come back, perhaps for a lunch downtown given the onsite parking, but probably not for dinner. Again, I wish the operators success. We need more restaurants like this in Asheville. But being just "okay" is not enough in Asheville these days. P.S. One plus: the onion rings were excellent!

Love this place. Drinks are a little pricey but yummy. Food portions are generous and delicious. They also have their own parking lot, big plus in Asheville.

I ordered the bacon cheeseburger (Medium), to go. 7 minutes later when I got home, it was super well done. And no bacon. It had great flavor, just over cooked AF. Well, next time I'll check everything before I leave.
