J&S Fresh Kitchen and Catering

Was a great place for breakfast !! Lots of selections ! But now they don't open until 10:30. Don't think they serve breakfast anymore.

Food was overly salted had been sitting a while do not recommend.

I love J&S and have my entire life, but why in the world did you change the Mac and cheese from custard to a roux? That used to be my favorite thing to get. I’m bummed

We ordered through DoorDash. It was Thanksgiving, and even through Cracker Barrel was open, DD, UberEats, and GrubHub all believed they were closed. So - we tried J&S Fresh. I'd rather support local anyway. We had the turkey and dressing, mashed potoes with gravy, green beans, cranberry sauce (from a can)roll, and shared coconut cream pie.
I didn't read anything about the restaurant, reviews or anything. We just really wanted turkey and were staying in a hotel.
The dressing tasted like Stove-Top.... my only real complaint. Hubby thought the green beans were a little salty, but I liked them. I also liked the little bit of salt in the crust of the pie. The mashed potatoes were really good.
A little expensive for what we got, but, it was Thanksgiving.

The only reason we went here was because my 77 yr old father wanted to. But trust me when I say the food is not what it used to be. I cannot believe they are serving essentially the same exact menu but without the taste. 10 out 10 DO NOT RECOMMEND. And what is with the cashier just sitting at a little bitty table like that.... put a counter back up! It looks poor.

These are the most wonderful staff. So kind and hard working which you don’t see in most places anymore. They go above and beyond to cater to you as a customer. I bring my father in law weekly and they are so sweet to both of us . The food is excellent and very fresh. Thanks so much to them for their hard work!

I always enjoy going there, I'll be back.

Omg I got the country steak it was the worst steak I ever had. . I took some home to my two dogs they wouldn’t eat it then I put it in their dog food and they wouldn’t eat it. My wife got the beans and greens and it tasted like it came from a can. My wife got a stomach ache from the food. Stay away

I have are at several J&S cafeteria in Asheville and Arden over the years.Riverridge is the only one left in the area.The food is very southern style. I love the baked spaghetti and the country style steak.My 9 year old granddaughter loves the candied sweet potatoes .They gave a very delicious seven layer salad.The value of the meals is very affordable and the serving sizes are generous.

Delicious fresh food. Love the cafeteria style of picking out your food. Coffee makes me feel like I’m in the 1950’s. Love that this place is full of old normal people rather than some green haired Doamne ai mila’s. Old man Alex knows what he’s talking about when he recommended the white fish. I will be returning here regularly

Terrible food, terrible service, terrible atmosphere….

The workers act like they are mad that i showed up to eat. I was verbally scolded because i took too long when i decided my drink.

The food is always cold And bland.
And its not that cheap either.
